Hello all. Even though it is already the 9th of the month, I missed this thread and figured I would open one.

I hope to see some familiar "faces", along with some new ones.

Good luck all.

I want to do this again!

I need to go back into my daybook and transfer the info over here. I hope others join in!

I find this very useful for holding myself accountable to keep to my (tight) budget.

I want to start this again too! I have no clue what I spent for the first week of October as I don't keep track anywhere else. I'll just start fresh from today.

10/09 : 0$

Yay familiar faces!!!!! I will post all my stuff tomorrow. It is on our other computer and I am too lazy to go get it, lol.

I have seen this thread and would love to join you but I'm gonna guess we need state our budget and stay within it. I just spent 400 on my sons birthday party today.

There is no set way to do it. Some people state a budget and try to stay within. Some have several budgets categories. Others just count how many days are no-buy (days when you don't spend anything). It's really all about what YOU want to do to help yourself spend less. :)

I used to do No Buy aaaaages ago. It had to have been 3 years or more. I'm ready to hop on board again... lots of life changes recently!!

I have a DH now :goodvibes We got married 1 month ago today! :yay:

So wedding and honeymoon expenses are behind us and we'd like to save up to top off our emergency acccount (wedding gifts helped us immensely so we don't have far to go!!) save some for a new car, and to save for some trips we want to take before we start trying for a baby :thumbsup2

I started a budget spreadsheet in Google docs so DH and I can enter all of our stuff (bills, etc). We're still transferring everything to joint so it's a little messy right now.

I'm a shopper for sure. October hasn't been the greatest for no buy so far since I bought a small purse at coach at the outlets on Saturday... so from here on out- no buy for me!! Well, no buy except for wedding and Christmas gifts- we have two weddings to go to coming up!

I am just going to be tracking this month. It seems easier and I am trying to rework our budget so it will give me a different perspective.

I had done a large grocery trip at the end of september so I just had to pick up a few extra items here and there.

We have been spending a lot of time clearing the garden in front of our house, hence the big number of no buy days. We were too tired afterwards to go out anywhere.

Alrighty...

10/9- Grocery shopping- came in under my norm (note to self, need to make a grocery budget)
10/10- $28 on eating out (note to self, need to make an eating out budget)
10/11- $30 on a heated throw I've been looking for (used wedding money we had allocated for registry stuff we need to complete), plus a $20 xmas gift for our nephew
10/12- $0

I feel like this is kind of like a diet. When I fall off the wagon it's a little hard to jump back on it. :rotfl:

Tonight I was invited to jewelry party I felt obligated to go to, but it was cancelled last minute so now I won't be tempted! :thumbsup2

Apparently being off on preventive leave and staying home all day is a great way not to spend money. I better enjoy it now, because I know I will be spending a lot in the next 8 months (and after...)!!!

10/15- $52 on groceries- about $30 lower than normal. :cool1:

I've got a pretty cheap slow-cooker meal cooking right now that should last us on leftovers for a while!
