Well..........as hard as it is for me to say, I may very well not be going to WDW tomorrow as originally intended. Let's just say the other person I'm supposed to be going with, who took it upon himself to pay for park tickets and meals if I paid for the hotel, now has $14 in his checking account. Considering the company I worked for had to let me go 3 months ago due to it going out of business, this isn't looking good. The tickets are paid for, as are the room and flights......but you can't do much of anything (eating for one thing) at Disney World with 14 bucks.

I'm really upset right now. I've wanted to go on this trip for a long time. The two of us are really good friends, but I've never understood his financial situation--He makes really good money, but it all just kind of disappears.

I'll keep you posted. :sad1:

oh that stinks!!!
Can you go ahead on your own? I know not as fun as going with someone.........but you would still have fun I bet!
or you could send me the ticket and I will go with you.........LOL:) :)

After I pay for the hotel, I myself will only have about 25 dollars left to my name. My friend played a very important roll in this trip. I love him to death, but this isn't the first time it's happend.

Crappy! :sad2:

Wow Mr. Man - so so sorry to hear this!
Hears hoping something magic happens

and you get to go anyway!

If you're going to lose the money for the hotel, I'd go anyway. You can probably use the Disney tickets another time. You can also probably use the airline tickets another day, paying a penalty fee.

Now as for food, you can always go to a grocery store and get cereal for breakfast and bread and cold cuts and have that :-(

Just an idea !!! :confused3

Ouch. :headache:
I would be very angry. I am such a control freak I just don't think I could ever trust someone else to have that much power over my vacation.
I hope you guys are able to figure something out! :wizard:

I was originally intending on coming alone......until my friend expressed interest in coming as well (which I'm glad he did).......and I lost my primary source of income.

I kept telling myself, "This trip is sounding too perfect and the planning process is running way too smoothly. Something bad is going to happen--I just know it."

I just got an e-mail from him. Apparently he's managed to find a way that'll allow us to go. We'll be eating 4-6 dollar meals more than likely, but I guess I can't complain.

*calls to cancel his DDR at Narcoosee's*

Sorry to hear about this,

But a loaf of bread, a jar of peanut butter, and a backpack! :thumbsup2

God knows you have done it before! If it makes you feel better, wear lots of maroon and gold! :lmao:

Plus peanut butter is all sticky ;)
Just don't go for the chunky style.

Maybe you could work off the food bill in "trade" - let's see - :scratchin
What could you give in return for a full belly?

OH WOW! FWIW -- I think you are doing the right thing by going anyway.

PB & J was standard fare whilst I was on the college program. That and rice. LOTS of rice. I hope your trip goes well!:flower3:

He'll be bringing a couple bottles of good liquor.....so maybe that'll keep my tummy satisfied for most of the time. ;) (Hmmm.....I wonder how Ramen goes with Scotch. :rolleyes1 )

I'm thinking we'll be alright. We're both digging really deep into our hole-filled pockets and I think we'll be able to manage at least 1 table service meal. As soon as I get back I'm going to continue applying for jobs. Too bad there aren't any around here that I really want......or that I'm overly qualified for. :headache: I should've known getting a BFA would've been a bad idea. :rotfl2:

I hear there is a McDonalds right across the street from the Casting office!

Win/Win!

We packed ham & cheese sandwiches with bottled water everyday for our Oct trip. It wasn't the usual for us either, but you're so busy when you're there that you almost forget. Remember: A "rough" day at Disney is way better than a regular day at home!

Wishing you a safe flight and have a good time! I'm sure you'll make the best of the situation and truly enjoy it!

Hmmm, food troubles...

This may take some work...

:scratchin
