A Nicki and Todd dining review...with the nieces!! LIVE from the Poly!

:wave2: Hi there! I'm on board & eager to read all your fab reviews! Have a fantastic trip!!

I made it to the party. I always love your reviews. I would love to be able to stay at the Poly someday.

This is going to be so much fun!! I always lurk on your reviews. But, yours are hands down the best I have seen! Have a wonderful vacation! The Poly wow!! That is more than awesome!! :thumbsup2

I am so glad you arrived safe and sound and the girls love the Poly. I can't wait for the reviews to start. And you are starting out with our FAV breakfast--Crystal Palace.

I have read all your previous reports too and love them!So I decided to join in on this one. Can't wait to hear all about it-you are the best Aunt!I was reading another review this morning and saw you had posted on it too-even while mere moments away from eating the food you can't resist reading about it:rotfl: :rotfl: Have a great trip and I can't wait to drool over your reviews!

YAY!!! I'm so glad you made it! I hope CP was excellent... I can't wait for the pictures, I'm thinking of taking Cait. when we return. (Though she said she doesn't like pooh  :sad2: How could she not?????)

Hope it warms up a little more than 55 for you! Have fun! I'm looking forward to the updates!

I hope you made it to CP on time. My dd loves Pooh so we will be going there in Sept. when we go. I can't wait to hear about it.

YEAH!!! Glad to see you are doing another LIVE report!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: I'm in!!

I love love love your reviews!! :cool1:

Your past ones were so helpful when I took my December trip. Hope you are having a great time, can't wait to hear (and see) all about it!

OT - I am going to Naples for a wedding on Valentine's Day -- any suggestions for a nice lunch for me and DH? Sorry to ruin the report with a question!

Thanks to all of you that are reading in my adventures as they unfold...I promise to give you a proper update tonight..right now the kids are finishing getting dressed and trying to wake up a very sleep Todd and I am uploading pics. We are have dinner ressies at 1900 PF tonight so I hope to get lots of pics too!

Here is a teaser for you...I took a TON of buffet pics at CP!

Nicki :flower3:

I hope the girls had fun at CP! That is our favorite character meal. Our girls have no interest in Winnie the Pooh and friends in real life, but they cannot get enough of them when at Disney World!

Could you get some extra Strawberry soup tonight, it sounds really good right now :goodvibes

Ok we are back and I am totally exhausted but I am going to try my hardest to get day 1 posted...forgive me for any typos as my hands are freezing from the 39 degree temp tonight, supposed to get to the high 20's! I also apologize if the pics are not up to snuff...it is so much harder with kids!

This morning I had a 6am wake up call so DH and I could get ready and then get the girls up...waking up to nice Poly Hawaiian music is my kind of wake up call although Brad Pitt would work nicely too! We went to the lobby to get the girls their tickets and man it was freezing! All of us were in 4 layers of clothes and that wasnt enough, the poor little one was a popcicle.

As you will soon see, Day 1 was all about timing! Monorail was right there for us and it was heated! Thank goodness! We walked right into MK, walked right into CP and we were seated at 8:05 on the dot to a completely empty place.....and it stayed that way for the 40 minutes we were there! I have never seen it so dead or so quiet, we loved it!

The girls ate very well here, the older one loved the sausage and the hard boil eggs..and the puffed french toast which was AWESOME! She had hot cocoa and they brought her out a plate of mini marshmallows

The little one had grapes (she can eat her weight in grapes) and half an apple, 2 blueberry muffins (she kept telling us to try them they were so good) a puffed french toast and donut holes...nothing like processed and natural sugar to get you going! Apple juice was the drink of the morning!

Here is my plate, which I inhaled, I guess the cold makes you hungry! Love the eggs, the sausage was amazing, killer biscuits and gravy, wonderful red skin potatoes but the corn beef hash is horrible...too salty! The potato casserole was also terrible, the potatoes were not cooked and the topping was too sandy texture wise. And of course, puffed toast! This was just a fantastic way to start our day!

Todd had a plate o' stuff...basically all of the above but he had bacon!

Since the place was so empty I have a ton of buffet pics, the charcters spent a ton of time with the few people that were in there...it was just a blast and the girls had such an amazing time. The little one kept saying "this is the best day of my life!"

Sounds like a great start! And you were worried. The puffed french toast is my favorite part of CP--I could eat it all day long. Sorry the potatos were not good--they are usually really good. Anxious for more--and hope you have pictures of the girls.
