A nice surprise!!! I got a Wii and Wii Fit Plus - Now what?

I am very excited to be getting a Wii and Wii Fit Plus!!!

Now I need some help with the rest.

The Wii came with one controller, the sports games. What do I need to purchase?

What about suggestions with games and other accessories? Anything you really like or not like?

Any suggestions for Wii Fit Plus?

I'm so jealous you got the Wii Fit Plus. My boys got the Wii from Santa. They got the red one. Santa also brought 2 extra remotes and Wii Play, which came with an extra remote. So, now we have 4 remotes total. We also use rechargeable batteries. I heard it's better to use them rather then the batteries and the charger Nintendo recommends.

As for games...I have NO clue.

I have both the Wii fit and Fit Plus. I recommend gettting a battery charger first. Both the Wii fit pad and the controller suck up batteries like crazy. Also I lock my info with a passcode. (I don't like my family knowing all my secrets lol)
My little one actually likes to play the Wii fit more than I do. I did it every day for a long time but now she has me beat. Many of the games are quite fun. We also have Wii Resort. That has different games than Wii Sport like Archery, golf, table tennis, basketball etc..it also has Wii motion plus which comes with it for one controller but you have to buy an attachment for the second controller.
Some other games we really like are Super Mario Galaxy, Animal Crossing, Just Dance 2, and DJ Hero which we just got for Christmas.

Totally agree on the rechargeable batteries. Also set up some sort of schedule for you to use. I got the Just Dance game. Love it. I use mine alone so I don't need any extra stuff. I really like the hula hoop game.

I've like EA Sports Active and EA Sports More Workouts. They've been my main work out source for the last year. Good workouts though now that I'm pretty fit I'll do the hard workouts back to back to get more out of them.

I love our Wii Fit. The kids play it more than I do Rechargeable batteries are a must, as is another remote.

Mario Kart is a great family game. It's something both our little kids and our big kids enjoy and can play together.
