A New Year - time to make new plans - ROLLCALL.

Hoping to snag HHI for August for a week to celebrate our 15th and have some quality fam time too... wish me luck, the day-to-day calling to MS starts Monday! Hoping we'll be successful, since it's mid-Aug and a 2 BR (which they have the most of at HHI), but if this fails, we may try for the next week (later Aug -- probably a better shot, with most southern schools being in-session by early to mid AUg). All that will remain for us after that trip is Vero Beach -- we are determined to HIT 'EM ALL!

As for other plans... we'll be doing our usual family World Tour for Peace (Up north-east to DH's fam, then down south to see my fam). My sis and I are planning to do the Va. Tech Hokie Ladies Football Clinic again this summer. We did it last year and it was a blast! (SOunds weird I know... but it was fun! I think my DH would go in drag if he could...)

Would very much like to take kids to D.C on the way over to DH's fam this summer. Boys have really expressed an interest, and I think they are at a good age to do some touring of historical sites and such for a few days -- maybe a Smithsonian/major landmarks 2 day kind of pit-stop deal. Anyone with travel tips on this, let me know. Last time I went to D.C. was on a business trip -- I can't see my kids in the hoity-toity place I stayed in for that, nor at the Concierge exchange hotel (Mandarin now, I think?) It's not so much that my kids are bad eggs -- just a little scrambled sometimes!

Our first trip is a non-DVC trip to San Francisco in February

second trip: HH for Easter week

third trip: 12 day summer road trip out west, including 3 nights at the Broadmoor on points. I guess that kind of makes it a DVC trip, right?

Gopherit: We went to DC over Labor Day and stayed at the Grand Hyatt. Had our 2 DS's (13 & 14) with us and the hotel was fine. Metro access was super convenient; you didn't even have to leave the building. You just went down some stairs or escalator, then down a hallway, and you were at the Metrocenter stop. I know Loews L'Enfant Hotel is also located above a metro stop, though we never went to that hotel.

SO FAR . . . .

We will be spending may 27- Jun 6 at dvc. 4 nights vwl, 5 nights bcv, if any ap rates come out, then we are going a couple of days earlier.

No more plans, we are going to hawaii in 2006 for two weeks!!! Oouch. . . .I hate to see my bill after that one even with dvc tradeoff!!!

September 4th DVC Member Cruise (plus one or two nights before and after at BCV)

October (?) Hoping to take a couple of our grandaughters to WDW.

Non DVC trips include trip to Las Vegas in February and a trip to Colorado Springs where we will stay at the Broadmoor (business for DH).

Another 4 night weekend trip to BWV in March (we may go to Disneyland instead, DH has a conference will find out end of this month)

A five night trip in May to BWV for Flower and Garden Festival

A six night trip in October to BWV for F&W Festival

But right now we have April 30 - May 7 at BWV (boardwalk view) and October 1 - 8 at SSR. We may keep this, after having been at SSR at Christmas time, but I was planning on trying to switch to VWL for this week.

Fall plans are waiting on procrastinating niece to make her wedding date in NC, but had thought about going to HH for a week after the wedding. But .... now that we get a good deal on AP's and ours expire in Oct. may do a few days at HH and then a few days at WDW.

and we're already booked on a late April 2006 7 day Eastern cruise on the Magic - our second.
