Okay, so maybe it's not new. But, I think I see why DVC is going ahead with raising the price. I had a friend's family stay at OKW last month. They toured while they were there and finalized the SSR purchase when they got home. Just heard their neighbors are now in the process of buying and some other good friends of my friend are going to look over the information with the intention of purchasing! Too bad CT doesn't allow the referral bonus!

That is too bad, you could be RICH! Sounds like the fever is spreading for sure...

That stinks - you can't get any type of bonus?? When I bought, I put down the woman who I rented points from. She lived in CT. I guess she never got anything:rolleyes:

Two families have bought in to DVC because of us and we live in CT, got nothing because of the laws, but CT sure does not mind taxing the blank out of us.:(

We live in NY so I get referals. We bought in 1/2000, referred my BIL and SIL, they bought in 2002, we went to BCV last year and took my sister and hubby, they bought in 2003, and just heard that some friends of mine took the plunge last month while on the Magic- we had told them all about DVC and they put our names down. It is really nice to get those $200 Disney Dollars, you just know they will be used! (Pays for the Hoop de do Revue for our family!!)):earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

And for some people, DVC'itis doesn't really hit until after they're members (talked into it by an enthusiastic spouse). That's what happened in our case. Thanks for diagnosing what DH has. I was wondering what caused him to buy that new jacket that he HAD to have "Members are [what's this say, Dear?]. Frankly, I hope there's no "cure" for this DVC'itis. DH seems to have a case of it, and I don't want him to get "better". It's great to see your spouse get it!
