I can understand why a milkshake wouldn't count as a beverage for counter service meals, it obviously costs much more than a Coke. But, can it count as a dessert????

I would ask. When I ate at Sci-Fi in October, I got the appetizer and entree, but by time dessert came, I was fuller than full. My waitress offered to wrap something up for me and I declined - didn't want to carry it around all day. She then offered to get me a milkshake to go as my dessert. Again, I declined as I had a fabulous Milky Way drink (not on drinking plan) and really didn't have room for it.

Cheers!

I would think so as many places offer milkshakes as a dessert option. And even if it's not listed on the dessert menu, I would think they would oblige as a milkshake is probably cheaper than most desserts. I did it at 50's Prime Time. Got it in a to-go cup and drank it while I watched the parade. I'd certainly ask everywhere.

I would ask but I'm betting the answer is yes. My dd wanted the Bibbity Bobbity Brew at CRT and I asked if we could get it and just pay out of pocket. Our waiter said we could do that or it could be in place of a dessert.

At Sci-Fi in November, I had a chocolate milkshake as my beverage on the dining plan as offered by our waitress.
