I tried this earlier and the server crashed leaving my thread title duplicated but empty body when you click on it. So I will attempt it again and hope a mod can delete the other two titles. Thanks!

Hart and Huntington Tattoo Company is coming to CityWalk. They have a select few shops now in elite locations. I wonder how it will do there. It will be taking over the glow store. I may have to venture in there to see what they have to offer 'universal' related! Maybe a small Betty Boop on my shoulder!

I'll get my portfolio ready asap.

Well, i can see it being good for the "teen" crowd....but not the "family" crowd..... :confused3

hmmmmmmmmm.... maybe it's time for some new ink for myself ;) It's been quite a few years since I've gotten a tatoo I keep spending my money on awesome vacations!:thumbsup2

hopefully it's located next to Cigarz, so it resides in the area of Citywalk I don't visit.

SO excited....wanting a new tattoo anyways....may have to design one and head on over there in December - oooh - wonder if it will open???

How true is that! We just never head to that area, its so outta the way. Last time there we did hit that candy shop and bought a couple of things.

Hart and Huntington is not your average tattoo shop. Its very upscale. They are the ones featured on the show Miami Ink. This isnt going to be your big fat bikers with naked women on their arm shop.
We visited the one on South Beach last time we there, and forget it! It was like walking into a hotel. You had to make reservations, you couldnt have consumed alcohol in the past 12 hours....they make sure that you are ready to make a commitment.
The thing that makes me laugh is how a lot of people think that a tattoo shop is automatically anti family. Its really no worse than having bars, night clubs or a motorcycle shop. Its all in fun.:goodvibes

In FL (as well as most other states), you can't tattoo someone under 18 without their parents' permission. So not really geared to teens, even if it wasn't so upscale. :rolleyes1

Besides, like a lot of formerly underground things, tattoos kind of went mainstream some time around the 90s.

Miami Ink has nothing to do with Hart and Huntington. They are two different tattoo companys and very much in competition with each other. The show Carey Hart is on is called 'Inked'. Inked airs on A & E.

Have a look at the Gallery pics.

They have a location at The Palms in Vegas and the place is incredible. They also dont take appointments. As of now they are in Hawaii, Cabo Mexico, Vegas and soon Orlando CityWalk.

I agree. I'm surprised at the reaction of some of the posters. Isn't Universal for the adventurous? What more adventurous than getting a tattoo?

Anyone know when they are opening?

Projected opening is April, no set date yet. I like the idea too and am excited to consider getting one!

Aren't Hart and Huntington the shop with the show Inked on A&E? Or am I thinking of something else? I will totally be checking this out in May. :)

oh, i know you can't tat someone under 18 w/o parent permission (i live down the highway from a popular tat place here)..... when I say "teen", i actually mean late teen/early 20's (that's "teen" to us "old" ladies).... i guess what i meant to say, is i can see alot of business from that "teen" aged people, not peeps like myself...older parents w/ littler kids.....but, i agree, it's adventurous and should do rather well there......

(just not "my" speed is all....)

People sterotype things, want to put everything in it's cubicle, too bad!

I don't have any tattoos, and my dh doesn't either, but these "type" of tattoo botiques*(yes) are amazing to go into and see, I also like watching Miami Ink, too-!
I admire people for wanting to have body art, an expression like the clothes you wear, etc.

I never get the stigma of the critiques by the mainstream as such derogatory classifications.............:confused3 :rotfl2: Ignoranance.........yes Ignorance

Orlando is a theme park destination and a family destination, remember people
Especially Universal, they have more to loose than Disney.............

You should get out more often.........see the world-----------and I don't mean Disney!!!!:rotfl:

4/10 Sunny FL!!!

Just wanted to repeat this again. Inked is the show linked to the new tattoo place opening at CityWalk.

Mari annie,
"Orlando is a theme park destination and a family destination, remember people
Especially Universal, they have more to loose than Disney............." What do you mean by this? Who should get out more often and see the world? I am lost on the tone of your post and its meaning. Sorry. The ignorance title makes me wonder if you are calling posters here ignorant?

I am not being "ignorant", just stating my opinion

i don't think mari annie likes universal or ignorant people

i'm picking up my toys and moving back to the guess pic thread
i could never get a tatoo, i hate needles and pain too much.
i draw my own with ink pens on me when i am in class
