few more hours till it hits here! I also have house on jersey shore...long beach island.. Spent the whole day yesterday securing that home.

Our newscasters saying LBI getting direct hit

I want to wake up and it be TUesday so I can start clean up.

omg I don't know how people in tornado/hurricane states deal with this every year

Well we battened down our hatches here. Now, I wait for the phone call to be called into work during the worse of the storm. Ya know I long for the day that I no longer have to care about going out in bad weather..... 6 years 11 months and 10 days to go bump! Good luck to all of you!

All transportation has been cancelled here, bus, train and metro all stopped. So I cant get into work, so I will be home tomorrow.

NYC too. While that doesn't affect me it still does. An MTA cop works for us, he should be in Monday PM but he won't be in. I have a fishing boat captain that has to take his boat out. Gonna be a bad day. BUMP

So far so good, got another hour or so until the winds start and the power goes out... We have eaten, cleaned dishes, got lunch and dinner cooked.

Working on the last of my email and have everything charging....

Well it has picked up, rain pelting the windows, wind picking up too, but so far we are still good. I just heard on the radio over 2K people without power in my area.
