I have been super busy at work but I have excellent news about DH!

But first, here's news about my mom. She is so much better! Her blood pressure and pulse are finally under control and the PT for her pacemaker insertion has really helped. She can now get back on her laptop which she loves!

DH is finally on the road to recovery and actually up and getting around now. His 4th hospitalization at a different hospital really brought together his new cardiologist, a good pulmonologist and a great team of in-house doctors. Though they still don't have a solid diagnosis they have decided to treat the fluid buildups as they appear.

His pulm. drained the lung that almost collapsed and put him on steroids and a different antibiotic. He is a new person! He is up, eating normally, driving, on the computer, and laughing and smiling! His pulm. says that he picked up a virus that caused him to build up fluid in his heart sac and then in his lung; he has seen the same thing in a few other patients. DH's endrocrinologist also had a patient pick up a similar virus last spring and have the same problems DH encountered.

He now has the main occupation of some older, retired people: making the daily rounds of doctor visits carrying the 1 page summary of his 10 weeks of illness that I typed up.

I still worry of course, but I think he is now in capable hands.

After 10 weeks of misery and pain I think we are heading out of the worst of it.

Again, thank you everyone; your support has been a major reason I was able to get through all this!
