Good news: as of today, I am smoke free for two weeks. May it continue. I've been an avid runner for twenty years, and an light-to-moderate smoker for about the same time. This is akin to someone having dueling hobbies, one mountain-climbing and the other bashing himself in the hands with a sledge hammer. I quit as a promise to my wife and myself that my child will never smoke because she thought it was ok since Daddy smokes. To those that smoke, I'll never be one of those ex-smokers who starts preaching. I believe there's nothing more obnoxious than a self-righteous reformed substance abuser. But I simply have to say boy, do I feel better. Thought I'd point that out!
But the bad news: I tried, but I can't stop posting pictures! I keep promising myself I'll get a web page done, as my inlaws are screaming bloody murder at having no pics. Maybe tomorrow, as Amy has a meeting and I'll have my daughter to myself all day! Since she sleeps most of the time, I hope to get some FTP work done, the key to a good photo site. But until then, I MUST post a picture!
This is a special picture just for Dis people only (shhhhhhh). The blanket was made by a fellow Disborder. Suffice it to say in a pile some twenty deep of assorted Disney blankets, this is our favorite, as it was the first thing we had with Kimberly's name on it. To the sender, we've finally put together our birth announcements (two hundred of the blasted things) and we're using a picture featuring my daughter and your blanket! Any of your that actually provided us a physical address when writing cards, letters, and gifts, you'll be getting one! In that photo, Minnie Mouse and Kimberly's name are on the bottom. I told Amy the picture for the CB had to be different so as to be "one of a kind."
And be serious, isn't my daughter beautiful? All children are beautiful, but this is the only one that wakes up in the morning and cries for me. And yeah, I know it's only gas, but in my mind, she smiles at me all the time.....

I LOVE that picture, what a perfect setting for a birth announcement photo.
