Yes! I usually do a shoe suitcase. We have 3 DDs and with the 5 of us, a small suitcase does fine for this. We put our larger toiletries in with the shoes b/c if they open, they won't ruin our clothes! This system works good for us!

the shoe suitcase sounds like a good idea, just have to be careful of the weight and make sure it doesn't go over the limit... My daughter has probably a hundred pairs of shoes... me, I could live in sneakers and flip flops....

I always tie our shoes up inside plastic grocery bags then tuck them in our suitcases that way the shoes don't touch our clothes.

We did that on our cruise and also had carried our soda in our bag with the shoes. The nice part about it was there was room left in there after the soda was out for souveniers.
