Hi all! We are taking our first family WDW trip (DH, DD9, and DD6) 4/28-5/3. The DH and I haven't been since 2000. We will be spending 2 full days at MK. Our 2nd day is on a Monday, with crowd levels expected as Moderate. I have read that Monday's can get a litter heavier due to some people arriving at WDW on a Sunday and spending that first day at MK. We have an ADR at Chef Mickeys @ 8:30 and FP+ booked for 7DMT (10:35), Anna and Elsa (11:40), and Space MT (1:00). Most of our 1st day (4/30 and my Birthday:bday: I wanted this day to be an open-close day) will be spent in Adventureland/Frontierland/Liberty Square/Parades/Fireworks. This day, if we can and time permits, I am hoping to get in as much as we possibly can, but don't want to stress the family out. (My DH may not let us ever come back!:sad2:) My question is, since our start is a little later than our first day, will the attractions in Fantasyland/Tommorwland/Main Street be outrageously busier on this Monday because of other families 1st day at MK? After 7DMT I would like to hit Ariel Ride and M&G, before A&E M&G and work our way around Tomorrowland to Main Street. We aren't planning a long day here, unless our stamina changes (we leave the next day:sad:). I know we can book more FP+ after Space MT. In your experiences, with this time of year, will I expect longer wait times on this side of the park? I am worried about Buzz Ride and Winnie the Pooh having huge waits. Will it be to our advantage not seeing parades this day and hitting rides hard during this time? Just looking for some advice from the DIS veterans out there if I am just overanalyzing things Thanks!!

At the time when you are going, you shouldn't face any "huge" waits. While it is true that Mondays can be statistically more busy at the MK, you are going at a somewhat "off" time, so you should expect waits in the 15-25 minute range for most rides. Longer for the more popular rides and shorter for the less popular rides. One of the things that Fast Pass has done is completely alter the expectations of many guests who now think that any wait longer than 10 minutes is a catastrophe that requires all sorts of coping strategies. But if you set your expectations that a 20-25 minute wait is perfectly normal and to be expected, you should have a trip that meets and/or exceeds expectations.

Thanks so much!!! I know every day will be different, but I also wanted to be prepared... 20-25 mins is totally okay, but I was worried about lines getting to 45 min+ times... I've gotten FP+ for all the popular attractions, it's the others and the classics I was wondering about.... Thanks!!

:thanks:
