A Message from the Tag Fairy

<font color=navy>Due to all the bru-ha-ha that's been kinda building up over the past few days, to all the uproar on the CB yesterday, the mods and webmasters received this message from the Grand Tag Fairy himself (or herself, we're still trying to figure that out):

The Tag Fairy is very upset.

The Tag fairy contacted me tonite. They are very upset. They exist to bring joy and happiness and surprises to people.
They can't do that any more. The tag fairy has decided to go back to what made people happy.
They are going to surprise people, the way it was in the begining and the way it was meant to be. What that means is that if you ask for a tag you can expect not to get it. If you start clapping threads, begging threads, email, pm, instant message or telegram anyone...you can expect not to be tagged.
They ONLY way to be tagged is for the tag fairy to find you and surprise you.
Everyone should also realize that the tag fairy doesn't tag based on how popular you are. Usually it's a split second decision because something caught their eye.
The Tag fairy also asked me to say that they really hope everyone goes along with this. They really don't want to leave the Dis... but they may have to.... unless they can go back to bringing joy to people....

My DS is now 13 and not one to give hugs much anymore. I still ask for them once in awhile; you know, I want a little reassurance that he loves me even though I know he finds me annoying. But every so often, out of the blue, he decides on his own to give me a hug. Wow! It means so much more when it's unexpected and uncoaxed.

Getting tagged is like a surprise hug. Please tell the Tag Fairy that we love him/her and support himher.

Would you pass along to the Tag Fairy a thank you? I was indeed surprised; a smile crossed my face and stayed there for quite some time...come to think of it, it's still there every time I log on

BTW, Mary Jo, I also smiled at your picture of winter in So Cal (where I live); on the same day you took that (1/29), I took a picture of my ds#2, who needed to put on a long sleeve shirt with his swim trunks to play in the sprinklers in the early evening. I will confess that I sent it to my friends who live in colder climes
