A MAGICAL Columbus Day Cruise Texas style 10/6/2012

I think that everyone should be able to pass them out when they would like to. As for myself I will be passing mine out on the first day as some of them are things to be used right away.

Also I will have a note pad and pen on my door so if anyone changes cabins they can leave me a note and I will let others know. Sound like a plan?

Were getting close I'm very excited.

Patti

Great!
Patti thanks for your help getting us off to a good start!
:cheer2:

Mary,

How many days do you plan to pass out FE"s? I am such a goofball and made FE's for 5 days! Can you imagine if everyone did this? You would be bombarded with gifts falling out of the Fe pockets and surrounding our cabins! :rotfl2:

I guess I'll just do 3 days. what do you think?:confused3

I made things for each person in each cabin to be passed out randomly and I also made a special - 1 per cabin pirate night gift. I think it is just what you want to do! Just have fun! I can't wait. It is getting so close! pirate:

I'm so glad that this forum is here. The FE is going to be a blast and everyone helping each other is so nice. I love the idea of passing the out randomly. I can't wait to meet all of you on the first day! Only 25 days until that happens!:yay:

This may have already been discussed but what is everyone doing on Costa Maya? It's the only port we haven't really "figured out" yet. Anyone have any experience/reviews?

We are signed up to do the boat blast, snorkeling, and beach break. This wasn't an option until last week. The 2 man speed boats, snorkeling, and beach break are perfect for my 8 yr old daughter and me. I don't know if adults would be as excited, but you never know!

We are thinking about going to the Tropicante. It is $2 a person for a taxi ride if you walk past the port and down by the Hard Rock Cafe to pick up a cab. They will reserve free beach chairs and umbrellas for you. Then they have $2 Coronas and other specials.

Your back I hope your home is ok. In costa Maya we are going to stay at the port as we don't have much time there. It looks like a nice pier with swimming eating and shopping

We're planning on doing the same - Costa Maya is a great port to just hang out, swim and enjoy the local entertainment. I think we will be able to see the dolphins too. It will be our relaxing port day.

Hi everyone,

We have a 4 yo DD (turned 4 in April). Just curious to know if there were any others with a DD in that age group. She is an only and sometimes prefers to be with us than with others her age, especially in new places. I would love to be able to tell her about another friend her age.

Thanks in advance...

My daughter turns 4 in January 2013 and she is an only child too. Feel free to PM me and we can exchange information about them so they will already "know" each other when they meet in person.

We are going there. I don't plan on any excursions this trip, just a lot of relaxing. I really hope my daughter stays at the clubs, the activities seem really cool.

Just to be prepared, what do you bring in case of sea sickness?
I am prone to motion sickness (car rides, air plane landings). What have you done in the past to help not get ill or get better after getting nauseated?
What do you do for children or what is safe?
:faint:

We are going to Tropicante. I read a recommendation for it on these boards. Here's a link to their site: http://www.sandalsandskis.com/Tropicante.html

Here is the original posting where I read about it. You can probably get all of your questions answered here. I received very prompt and thorough replies from Steve at Tropicante when I requested our reservation.

I am excited to find the Nohoch Kay beach break. I researched a lot to find a lovely beach with terrific food.

I am excited about it! As our first cruise I wanted the excursions to be as fun as the sea days! The waters there look so lovely.. can't wait to soak it all in! :beach::beach:

My mom gets sea sick and swears by the patches. Call your doctor's office for them. I would bring enough for your kids too. Put them on as soon as you get on board.

You can also take Meclizine. I might have spelled it wrong. It used to be a prescription, but it is over the counter now. I took it with an inner ear infection and it worked great. I read somewhere on these boards that there is a free dispenser of it outside the nurse's station onboard.

thank you all for the responses.
I didn't know if the patch was safe for 7 yr olds, though.
Hopefully, no Tropical disturbances in the gulf! :crazy2:

I think we are doing a "meet and greet" with some dolphins. It was one of the few dolphin excursions my 4yo DGD could do.

Is anyone doing the Chocolate Factory tour on Cozumel? I just signed up for it last night - it sounds yummy! I'm still trying to decide what to do at Grand Cayman - We may just take a bus to the Turtle Farm or the 7 mile beach unless something really grabs me - we are trying to keep the budget low this trip.
