Ok, so I can't use this which is aggravating if the CM explained it correctly to DH. But, DH doesn't normally make plans or understand the WDW booking (I'm at work and can't call), so I'm not sure if this is correct. (Although, it doesn't matter because it was for my parents, who aren't going this trip, but I'm still curious how it works.)

My email said:

Save 20%*

at select Disney Resort hotels.

For stays most nights:
10/10/10–10/23/10
10/31/10–11/13/10
11/21/10–11/23/10
12/5/10–12/11/10
12/19/10–12/24/10.

Save 40%*

at select Disney Resort hotels.

For stays most nights:
10/3/10–10/9/10
10/24/10–10/30/10
11/14/10–11/20/10
11/28/10–12/4/10
12/12/10–12/18/10.

CM told DH that the 40% could be applied to all tiers of resorts as long as it was during those dates. Is that true?? I've not seen a PIN for 40% off values and mods like that.

If that is true, how aggravating! We're booked at CBR!

I got an email this morning that gives me 30% off value and Moderate and 40% off Deluxe and Villas. It was titled the same as yours, only my dates are more inclusive, For stays most nights 10/3/10–11/23/10 and 11/28/10–12/24/10.

I got this same offer - except it was only offering me 10% off values and moderates and 20% off deluxe.....needless to say I won't be booking with that wonderful PIN.

Not seeing yours and going by what you are saying. I believe you are right on not being able to use the 40% off for a value or moderate. The 30% would be for those two. Since they are not transferable you wouldn't be able to use it in your parents name unless they were going. I also received one today but mine was 20% and 30%. Hold out hope that you may still receive one and can apply it towards your trip. I wish I could give mine to someone because I will not be going till next year.

I got the same pin code and just called to have them price out a stay. Sorry to say, but your DH is right, the discount is off ALL resort levels. I priced out splitting up at 2 resorts - from a 20% off Saturday (12/11) at POP the switching to a 40% off Sun-Wed (12/12-12/15) at French Quarter. The pricing was $82.80 for Pop and $301.73 for French Quarter ($100.58 a night) - this includes tax.

This is a great deal, if you really wanted to save money you could stay at a Value for 50 bucks a night.

FYI, these need to be booked by May 24th.

I got this same pin and one of the 40% off dates is the week of our 10th anniversary (Dec 16)! But, we can't make any plans right now because of possible job changes that wouldn't allow us to take vacation at that time and we wouldn't know what our days off would be. Argh!

I agree. I was pretty shocked to get it and really had not thought of going back to the world again in 2010, but I may have to rethink that. With the economy starting to pick up, PIN codes like this won't be around forever.

There must be lots of different pins flying around, I got FD for many of the same dates. We are using it the week of Christmas and even though it says throught 12/24 it worked until we check out.

Honestly, this is what we did. We are only "considering" going back in October but when I got the 20/40 pin as the OP was referring to, I decided it was best to at least hold it with the PIN and I can always cancel or change the dates if needed (within the same promo dates).

It's torture not knowing for sure if it's a "go" or not, but at least I won't have that regret for not booking and saving the $$ if we do indeed decide to go.

I hope others get what they're looking/waiting for too!
