Lots of schools in Indiana started back last week

Our school corp gives us two weeks fall and two weeks spring break though.

We are going at the end of the month, crowds are usually low.
The weather on the other hand! I've read it's been especially stormy and rainy this month down there. Hoping for quick storms that move through fast.

I wouldn't say "a lot" but a few have in certain parts of the country. The best bet is to wait till after Labor Day (which is what we're doing.)

Last year we were at Disney from Aug 5th through the 25 and it was crazy the entire time. This year we are going later in Sept so hopeing that the crowds will be smaller before all of the major MNSSHP guests arrive! I remember when the last week of Aug through the week after Labor Day were practically empty--not anymore! Some schools in MA start the 20th of this month and others not until after Labor Day.

We are headed down 8/20-8/30!!! We start back to school day after labor day for the first time in a long time (new school) easywdw crowd calendars has some of our days listed as a "3" I can't wait, we have never been able to go in a low crowd time.... I know it will be sweltering hot, and it will rain everyday but we are gonna enjoy it no matter what!

I'm making a quick one night trip to Disney this weekend, before this teacher goes back to school for planning next week, and then students come back the following week. I know some schools in my area have students going back next week.

The Florida resident seasonal passholder blockout dates end August 14th. I assume that crowds drop off significantly after that, hence the reason for the blockout ending.

No Texas schools started this week unless they are private. We have a state law- no public schools can start before the last Monday in August. But private schools can do whatever they want- a lot start next week and my daughter goes back 8/20.

Yep. All the districts I know of in the Dallas area start back on Monday, 8/25.

We usually go the week after Labor day and we have noticed the past couple of years its been getting more and more crowded. I think its because of free dining. This year we are trying for the last week of August mainly because I don't want to pull my 2 kids out of school.
But most schools in my area start back August 25th. For some reason my school district dosent start til 9/2.
I can deal with rain because then i don't have to waste time going back to the resort to go swimming to cool off
