A Look Back, My First Trip Report ~complete~

:sunny: i really enjoyed reading all of your family adventures. some really
stood out like taking advantage of your husband on buzz .[ you didn't feel
guilty?-shame on you! my wife is very docile until we are in a competition]Of course not! That man beat me soundly without a little help from my DIS friends...so, I relished in every second of my victory (hee hee hee).

...i like reading all the reports just to see how others are doing their
disney trips. your T.R. caught my attention cos we have 2 sons & one
daughter...our sons are in college now but your trip reports were very
similar to the ones we took when they were little. i was surprised how
many things you did matched up with ours. soooooo i wanted to say
thanks for allowing me to reminisce. :) Of course. I only hope that one day I can find trip reports that remind me of my little ones. Today my eldest turned 10. That is wonderful and scares me to death all at the same time! I am going to cherish every minute while I have them young!

yewww,i always "feel" :sad2: , hearing that lil song about growing up...
"turn around..there doing this, then that... until they're getting married
& out the door!..mainly because it is true! i think that's why your report
made me feel so good...you expressed so many lil things are easily taken
for granted and/or overlooked [ great :teacher: /tips!] . i understood your
despair over the camera with the hope of finding...what a lucky :shamrock:
ending for your trip!
[I had my fingers crossed before reading the final outcome!] I had my fingers, toes, eyes and anything else crossable crossed as we drove to the lost and found. I was trying to prepare myself for the worst (not a picture from the trip) but I was also trying to keep calm (and thinking you have not a picture from the trip is NOT a good way to do that).

* therefore, if i may suggest a "tippo"..a safety deposit box is worth the $!
if nothing else , you can't make them lil all over again...no matter how
you wish... pixiedust: on any star! [ they will grow up ]. I just herard about a way to have Disney download photo images from your digital card on to a disc, I will be doing that AND putting them in the safe until we leave. NO MORE will I lose every picture...only a day's worth (okay aiming to not even do that, but you never know). Also, I will write down my photopass card number in multiple places so we retain the ability to look at/purchasea those pictures even if the card is lost. Thank you for the great tip!

* and i hope you can excuse my lecturing but your report was even more
special [actually, i think everyone disney vacation is a sentimental journal],
from the challenges of your child births. thank you for the added insights...
and because there are so many female readers here..LADIES, prenatal
visits are critical for catching life/death problems for a positive outcomes!
[ our lil princess: was dependant on this life saving insight!] Thanks, I was kind of thinking, nobody cares...but to understand the why's of how I was reacting to that day, I thought a little background would help. And yes, prenatal appointments DO save lives!! GO early!

p.s..we visited at the end of sept., o5 and will spend 3 days this year
at the contemp...after the wonder 11 days cruise..isn't that wild? by
the way, i do some scrape booking cos my wife brought a bunch &
"gave" them to me. :rolleyes1 kind like getting a new washer for
christmas? but as you know in a marriage, paybacks are :maleficen
wicked? just so you know...after the farewell party [cruise ships]...
you be surprised how many are pickin up the "pixie dust." a good
reason for your family take a cruise? { hey, don't show your husband
that comment, so he won't think i gave you the idea} Too late, it was the first comment I "had" to show him!! I couldn't have him still thinking I was the lone crazy one who would stoop to scoop(the pixie dust people, the pixie dust;)). I don't have the guts to give dh scrapbooking supplies for Christmas. I know it would be blenders and dishwashers and irons for life!! However, I wish he would give them to me! I love to scrapbook! Did you write a report of your trip?

p.s..#2 your feelings toward crt...our boys did not wanted to go! then
they got to realized how friendly the princess: were...we had no
further problems going back! ;) however, i sorry to say , i wasn't in
on the action..well someone has to be the "cameraman?" :magnify:
It was a lot of fun at CRT! My boys ate it up! I bet their are a lot of boys who think it will be no kind of fun at all and many who even scream EWWWW at the thought, but I think, given a chance it's a super fun meal for boys and girls of all ages!

Please note, my words are bolded throughout the quote.

Thanks for the indepth post. It was very thoughtful and oh so pleasent to read!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for finishing your report. I love it when I can go back and scoop up a report that I posted on in the beginning and then find it later and find out it is finished. It is so refreshing!

Our family is road trippers to vacations too-my kids still talk about some of our road trip vacations-even the one from Wisconsin to WDW.

I just want to say that I printed out your TR and read it the last few nights before bed. Wow...what a wonderful report! You and your family seem like a lot of fun and really close. I'm glad you found your purse and that you kicked your DH's butt on Buzz.

So many magical moments during your trip! It really reminded me of why we like to do Disney in September and have for the last few years. You just gotta love the low crowds!

This is one of my fav TRs now.

Thanks so much for sharing!

I really enjoyed your report. You were very entertaining for me! I also love the All Star Movies. We stayed there the day it opened. Buzz and Woody (statues) actually arrive during our stay and we watched them put them in place! It is a very nostalgioc place for us since it was our sons first on site trip!

Thanks for sharing your trip memories with us.

That must have been awesome. We love those bigger than life statues! They really made our stay. How magical it must have been to watch them find their new home! I am sure we will be back to ASMo within the next year or two (just have a few others to try out along the way;)).

Thanks for taking the time to let me know you enjoyed reading it!!

I want to finish reading your great report but it's sooooo late and I have to get some rest for work tomorrow! Can't wait to finish reading it tomorrow!

Thank you for your very kind feedback! When I first started writing the trip report, I wondered if anyone would bother to read it at all and if they did attempt to even start would they possibly read all the way to the end?! ;) I am happy to be able to share the joy we felt at Disney with others. I know I get my "Disney fix" between trips by reading trip reports and other threads that focus on Disney favorites (rides, smells, moments, etc).

September really is the best time of year to go...if you can get over the heat and high humidity, the chance of hurricanes and around commitments on the calendar.

Thanks again for your words. They made me smile!! :goodvibes :) :goodvibes

Hi jaycns!
I loved reading your report too...especially since it was the same time last year that we are planning to go this year. :cheer2: Boy, was that something I wanted to hear!!!
I was just thinking of backtracking to around last September to get a feel of how the crowds and conditions were, and then I found your trip report, so I did not have to. I guess it goes to show that no matter how late anyone writes their trip report, it can always help other people who are going the same time the next year, like me! :teeth:

I do have a question though. I noticed that you are going again this September too....what made you move your trip back to later in September since the crowds were so low when you went beginning/mid of September??? Is it because of the timing with the cruise?
We are going September 8-18...I guess I am looking for reassurance that the crowds will be that low for us too....lol
Thanks again!

Oh, we went on the Magic last November, and are going again the same time this November, and cannot wait. Best vacation we have ever had, and I am a Disney park junkie!!! It is a perfect vacation for DHs that are a little too Disneyed out, or not thrilled much about Disney at all. A nice relaxing non-park TRUE vacation for him, and yet Disney in it for me....cannot get better than that!

We moved our trip because of the cruise. We would have stuck to our "early September" window had the cruise not been later in the month (it was the only cruise our traveling buddies could join us on).

I think that the crowds in early September are wonderful. Just be prepared for the heat!! That seemed to wipe a lot of other people out (my sister's entire family didn't last more than a handful of hours during our 9/2004 trip before having to head back and cool down in the pool or in their room).

I too am a BIG Disney junkie and dh is not so hot for it. The last time we took a Disney cruise (which was back in Sept. 2000) it was much the same for us. I agree with you 110% about the spouses who are not Disney nuts getting to relax and those of us with Disney addictions get our fill too! It really is a win win situation!!

Enjoy the parks in early September! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I'm glad that I was able to give you a tiny bit of planning info! :)

I really liked your trip report! see you later! :wave2:

Thanks for reading! I have been known to stay up WAY late reading trip reports. Sometimes, I just get so into them, I forget it's time to sleep! I do regret it in the morning, but find myself doing the same thing again and again! :)

Sure wish I could write a trip report like that. Really, thanks for sharing it with us. :)

If I can write a trip report, anybody can!! When I sat down I felt as if I were in way over my head...but then I just told myself if it was bad, then nobody would notice cause it would fall off of the recently posted pages. ;) And I knew at the very least, I would have a nice journal to weave throughout my scrapbook pages! :)

I am glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for posting. :thumbsup2

I absolutely LOVED reading your report. I'm so jealous there were no lines when we went. Promise you'll write a report after your next vacation?

I promise...I think it's another one of my Disney addictions...trip report writing! Heck, at least this one of a free addiction! ;)
Thanks for reading and I am glad you enjoyed it!
