a little proud mom moment

my ds (age 13) was taking his little sister (age 3)and the little girl I babysit (also age 3) sled riding, he took turns taking them down the hill while I played with the other one, well he was taking the girl I sit down the hill and they veered off path and were about to go into a thicket of thorns and he instinctively grabbed her and turned her to him and rolled with her so she wouldn't get hurt, in the end he ended up with a thorn to the face. He is my version of a mini hero. He put her safety before him with out thinking, instinct kicked in.

What a very courageous thing for him to do!!!!

Sorry he got hurt and I hope the thorn site heals quickly.

That's so sweet! I love to watch my nephew - also 13 with my DD2. He is SO protective of her! (much more so than I am!)

arggg I bet it was a snow sled on snow, not a carboard box on wet grass like I had to do as a child
