A little overwhelmed...

Most would recommend TSMM first thing in the morning. If you queue up at the rope drop 10-15 minutes before park opening, you can be in the first group to ride, typically a very short wait, and if you want to re-ride usually the line will be 40 minutes or less at that point of the day.

LM is easy to get on first thing, it is often open at 9:30ish and though when I was there there was a sign that indicated early riding was for Disney hotel guests only, they weren't checking room keys that I saw. Lines are short all day, though... easy to ride it any time with a wait of less than 15 minutes.

I think you're talking about musical chairs with Alice/etc.? If so, you should be able to do a search to find the time, or someone will post here. :)

Mulholland Madness is now Goofy's Sky School, for what it's worth. I'm not familiar with SR on it--the only one I've done was Indy, with a friend, and it was excellent (usually faster than FP, too, but that's not a guarantee).

Regarding TSMM, there are no FPs, but the line is not nearly as long as at WDW (certainly not 120 minutes!). The standby line is shorter precisely because there's no FP, so the entire line is standby and can move at full speed. 40 minutes is pretty normal...I've never made any effort to do it at opening for several reasons. You spend early park time waiting for the ride to open, then rush to the ride and possibly wait in a line over there too. (AND, occasionally the ride may not even be open at park opening!) Best case, the amount of prime morning time devoted to getting on to TSMM can easily be 20+ minutes, plus ride time. So I'd personally rather wait 30-45 minutes later in the day when everything's busy.

But, TSMM isn't a huge priority for me, either (I enjoy it but if I didn't ride it, I wouldn't be heartbroken). So my approach is one of at least 2 different approaches, and I don't think either is wrong. :)

Musical chairs is at 2:30 at Coke Corner. It is not published in the daily schedule. :goodvibes
