Hey ya'll. Since everyone here was so helpful to me last week with my informative/technical speech on Disney's Seven Guidelines for Guest Service, I was hoping ya'll could help me out with my persuasive speech this week. I'm writing my speech as a proposal to the Powers That Be of Walt Disney World for them to install an express pathway to be utilized during parades by guests in the back of the park wishing to exit the park and guests arriving at the park who do not wish to watch the parade. This express pathway would only be accessible to guests during and 30 minutes before and after the parade. I was hoping to use blueprints of some kind of the Magic Kingdom (specifically Main Street). I was wondering if there is anywhere on the Internet where I could find what I'm looking for. Also, it you have any suggestions for my proposal, let me know. If I use your suggestions, I'll give you credit in my speech.

Thanks so much,
Kelly

I always thought that's what the train was for... however there is a backstage area between main street and Tomorrowland that they used as-is to fill up the park on July 4th before the fireworks, they actually roped off the entrance to make people go that way (can't tell you what it looked like but I can tell you we got scolded for ducking under the rope), so you could use a google earth image to rubber-stamp some trees into that area to surround a pathway that leads to the stage in Tomorrowland

I think your idea is a great one; operations does a pretty good job at managing guest flow during parade times, but it can be frustrating.

As far as providing images, Disney just launched something within the past two weeks that might help you out: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...ndex?id=GoogleEarthPage&CMP=OTC-3dparksVanity
... download Google Earth and you'll be able to see the WDW Resort property in 3D. It's worth the download and you'll be able to get all kinds of images to show where you'd like to put things.

Equally cool is Windows Live map: http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?v...0494&phy=-0.386433906045874&phscl=1&encType=1

...that'll link you up to the Magic Kingdom property and you can see that "bird's eye" view of the propety; another great way to present graphics.

Good luck!
