a little help?

This is actually the first vacation that I dont have a regimented itinerary/ My boys are getting older (13 and 16). We are staying at the Hard Rock and I know they will want to hang there. Based on their ages, are there any MUST do's? Also, we will be eating out every night. Any restaurant recommendations? Nothing overly priced, but yumminess is a must! Thanks, we leave this Wednesday.

For teen boys, rrr, mib, hulk coaster, Spider-Man, mummy, everything in HP land, Simpsons are all to do's.

We love the food at margaritaville. Confisco grille and thunder falls grill are also great.

at the studios i always eat at Boulangerie.
they have sandwiches freshly made.
the sandwich comes with potato salad, slice of cantoulope and a strawberry.

this place also carries cheesecake factory goodies.
i love their cheesecakes.

louies i love.
always get the salad/pizza slice there.
meatball subs also great.

richters is fine for burgers.
it has a fixin bar.

at ioa, confisco grille, croissant moon, fireeaters grill for gyros/dogs, blondies is another favorite for their hand made sandwiches.
they aren't made up until you order them.
thunderfalls for chicken, mythos for appetizers i usually hit on visits.

for citywalk, i adore Latin Quarters for the food/prices and ambiance.

not a fan of bubba gumps.
over priced and service so so

do hit NBA City for the food. always hit hard rock cafe each visit. good menu and great tasting food. the ambiance is fantastic.
i think i take the same pictures of that cadillac each year since it opened.....

i'm tired of margaritaville but will do it if with friends.

like the breakfast buffet at the Kitchen. (HRH)
some of the dinner menu items are fabulous.

love island dining room (rph) the best for the breakfast buffet.
not fond of their dinner menu of pan asian flair.

orchid lounge court is breakfast ala cart.
6-11 daily, til noon on weekends.
it's cheap and located in the rph lobby.

jakes (rph) is great and cheap.
can't go wrong with anything on that menu.

bula bar at rph is fantastic on food and prices.
gratuity is included on the bill so be aware and don't tip.
last year i forgot about that and added a tip.
the server told me he took the tip off as an 18% is added in on the costs.

Sals at pbh is really a good place also.

ok, that's my suggestions for places to eat.

blondies, crossiant moon, confisco grille are usually over looked places at port of entry and ioa.

same goes for boulangerie at the studios.



those are the places i always hit on my stays at the darkside.

i'm there for 11 days and i do love to eat......

be sure to look at the food/menu sticky.

There are too many places that are great. Depending on length of stay but I will list a few favorites.

Citywalk:

Margaritaville
Hard Rock
Bubba Gumps (hit or miss)
NASCAR
Then quick food Moes or Burger King

Universal:

Louie's a must
Finnegans
Boulangerie

IOA:

Mythos
Confisco grille
Blondies

RPR:

Islands dining room breakfast buffet hands down.
Orchid lounge quick breakfast
Jakes is always good and easy to get into.
Bula bar and grill. We have had dinner poolside and lunch or just snack while swimming

HRH:

We like to pool hoping here, swimming and having lunch at Beach Club. Always a great afternoon.

Then anywhere that I can fill my popcorn bucket, lol.

Thank you all!!! We leave in 2 more sleeps! Keep the restaurants coming...How about the HRH? The kitchen was mentioned, is there anything else worth trying there? That is where we are staying, hoping i made the right hotel choice!

Due to my husband's business we can only go for 5 days. We have been there before, the the kids were real young? Would that change anyone's mind on what we should definitely do and eat? I know the boys (and me) would like some pool time at hotel too.

I have always been a control freak and plan every minute of every vacation, tryingn a new approach this time

Well you are going in the right direction by staying onsite. No need to plan anything, just go with the flow and enjoy what a real vacation should be like.

Looks like everyone else covered it. But just keep in mind the park including the restaurants at the hotels are loaded, you can't go wrong with most of them, they range from good to great for the most part. Hardly any need to ever go off property really
