A Little Help With Laundry Please!!!

me and my family will be traveling down in may and plan on taking a break mid day each day plus one day just spent relaxing at the resort. i definately will be doing laundry since there will be 4 of us 2 being little boys who can be quite messy at times, lol. i am allergic to shout so i was wondering if anyone has used oxy clean before and does it work well on stains? will definately be packing my own laundry detergent, laundry sheets and quarters. :thumbsup2

We'll probably be doing this for the first time too when we go in June since DH says we bring way too much stuff. Since we drive, I don't mind the extra luggage after all we each haul our own stuff but he hates it.

I figure I'll bring my own laundry stuff (Target has All detergent in a travel size bottle that works well) and quarters and I plan on doing it around 10am on a break from the parks day while the kids play in the pool and DH can watch them.

Don't get me started on the fact that he gets to goof off while I do work on vacation because he's not happy with the luggage situation. Hmmmmm. Maybe I need to do something about that. Hmmmmm.

I aLso watch the Tide website for free samples they send in the mail. Then make everyone you know sign up for them!! :yay:

If I don't plan to do all the laundry at once, I have asked my family to wear similar colors at the same time. That way I can throw in a load every few days.

When we drove to WDW I packed the kids clothes in a plastic storage bin instead of a suitcase for two reasons. The other suitcases stacked better on the bin vs trying to fit several different size suitcases in the back of the van AND it served as my laundry basket.

I bring 2 mesh laundry bags and hang them from a hanger in the bathroom area. I put lights in one and darks in the other and then when we are ready to do laundry I load them into the stroller and put the baby in the back carrier. We sit down at the pool and read or people watch while we wait. Total laundry time is about 1 hour.

We stayed at POR 2 years ago and I did laundry while the kids swam in the pool. I bought detergent there , but will taking my own detergent on my upcoming trip. Also take some quarters so you dont have to get change.
