A little confused

We are going in Oct and may have 2 others join us. We'd like to make a few ADR's during our stay. Should I make ADR's for the entire group and if the 2 people don't go, call back to change the # or would we then forfeit our table and chance not having a smaller table available or would we still get our table? These would not be buffet or character meals.

From what I'm reading, it seems that when you make an ADR, you are 'assigned' a table for the # of people you book with so I'm a little worried that what I'm thinking about losing the table may be correct.

Exactly as you stated- by decreasing your # and calling to reduce it, you are going to forfeit your table and have to start over.

The DW rules (unwritten) are to call back, reduce the # and start over, however, many people have shown up with just the smaller group and I can't think of a time when they were not given a seat.

you should have no problem, with only two extra people. when you make the ps's a lot of changes happen between then and now. disney understands.
