not at all surprised. We had planned on doing 5 nights at BLT, then 4 on cash at CSR. We also had a 2 night Fri/Sat stay at BLT in Jan for DH to run the full marathon and me to run the half. Well DH decided that he wants to wait and let his knee heal a little more (he killed it at the Dis marathon in 09 and it's still not right). So we had extra points that we had borrowed and weren't going to WDW again until fall 2011, so we decided to book a few of our cash nights at a DVC resort.
1st choice was Boardwalk or Beach Club. They each had one night. 2nd - Wilderness Lodge. Also only had 1 night. We didn't want to stay at SSR or OKW due to the size of the resort so as a last resort I checked AKV. Lo and behold they had Friday and Saturday nights, not only a studio, but a value studio at that, a month out! So with the point savings, we booked Sunday night there too. Don't get me wrong, we love AKV, but our last 2 DVC stays have been there so we wanted to try someplace new. I am a little bummed about that. But I am excited to bring DD back to the spray park at Kidani. AKV will be the relaxation part of our trip so we'll get plenty of use out of the pools. She'll definitely have more fun this time around.
I am so grateful that we were able to get into a value at AKV this late in the game! Did want to try BW or BC, but there's always next year and at least we get to try BLT and the monorail transportation for the first half of our trip!
So tell me for next year, how are my chances at 7 mos for one of the Epcot resorts in September?
