We were craving cheddar cheese soup, so I found a recipe online, and sent dh to the store. I found the recipe on Allears, and omg was it good. Now I haven't had Le Cellier since last may, but our cheddar cheese beer soup really hit the spot. I ate two bowls, and now I feel like I am going to burst!

LOL! We did the same thing two weeks ago. Next time we make it DH and I are going to try and find a recipe for the pretzel bread!!!!

Dont forget the pretzel bread!
I am finding it in more and more grocery stores around here - especially the higher-end, "market-types".

We make the soup about once a month and it is so good! I even used Moosehead beer last time.

We have started buying the frozen soft pretzels to have with the soup. They only take about 4 minutes in the oven and really hit the spot!

I also love to make the Cheese soup at home. It really reminds me of being at Le Cellier (let's hope that it stays on the menu after the change, along with the pretzel bread sticks).

I've also tried the mushroom risotto recipe (also from Le Cellier) on the Allears site and it's really yummy!

Hi Tara922c,
YUMMY! :goodvibes I have never tried to make the soup, though after reading your post I think I am going to have to. Glad you enjoyed. :thumbsup2

We ate at LeCellier on Christmas Eve and a week later I missed it so much I had to make the soup for NYE.It was delicious! I bought a Disney cookbook while we were there.

We went with some good friends for our Dec 2007 trip and all ate at Le Cellier. Several months ago we did a "Le Cellier Dinner" - I made maple-glazed salmon, someone made the cheese soup, mashed potatoes, pretzel bread and we made beignets for dessert (Frenchish if not Canadian, at least!). It was so yummy! And fun!!

Oh my, I am going to have to look this up on allears.net. We all love the cheddar cheese soup from Le Cellier and my family would go nuts if I got to make it at home, especially since we have a trip coming up in May. This will definitely get us through our very cold days (it is snowing outside as I type) However, I am the only one in my family that is in love with the pretzel bread....I guess that means there will be more for me :goodvibes

We too love the soup so I'll have to check out the recipe. We ate at Le Cellier in May and had the soup at F&W fest in Nov. The frozen pretzels are a great idea as well.

Mom0299 which cookbook did you get. I've been looking at them and I'm curious how the recipies are?

Thanks

Going to WDW in September and hope to eat at Le Cellier for lunch since that is only 1 Dining credit.

that sounds like fun !!

Which version do you guys make? Allears has 3.

DH doesn't like the soup, but he's out of town so I might make it for myself tomorrow and then freeze the leftovers.
