Want to take the kids (4 and 7.5) to the beach/ocean. :sunny: Atlantic side is preferable. Where should we go for 1 night.
Plan is to leave WDW on a Saturday and drive to beach, spend the night, and head to the airport on Sunday for midday flight home...
Any suggestions??? :listen:

Cocoa Beach would be the closest for a quick trip. It is straight down the beeline hwy. and easy to get to the airport from there. Have a great trip!

We took a short trip to cocoa beach a couple years ago, just for the day. It was real nice. We found a metered lot with a sand pathway to the beach and had an enjoyable few hours there.

http://www.cocoabeach.com/lg-hotels.html to look for a place to stay.
I usually check trip advisor for reviews.

can't help you with the atlantic side, we're spoiled by our gulf beaches. cocoa beach doesn't impress me much. the Keys are as perfect as the earth can get, but too far for you.

is definitely Cocoa Beach and very convenient to MCO(right off the beeline). It is about 45 minutes from Orlando and a very easy drive down the Beeline. The beach is nice, plenty of places to eat and many hotels. Although the Gulf is much more beautiful asctectically(msp?), the convenience to Cocoa for a one day trip is most beneficial. GL and have a great time!

I know cocoa beach hotels are listed on priceline, you could check www.biddingfortravel and see what is being seen these days. We also enjoy New Smyna beach and its not much farther than cocoa beach.
