I would normally wouldn't go during that time (unless I go on New Years Eve) but my aunt friends are coming from Texas tomorrow and we will picking them up at LAX. This is the only time they were off and want to visit the DLR. So we will be brave the heavy crowds this weekend which will be every crazy.

There was one year (in the 90's) where we were at DLR for one day only. It was the 23rd December. The shortest queue was 2 hours long. All the big rides were out to 3 hours plus.

We got on about 5 rides all day; if you count the railroad and the monorail as separate rides. We managed to get on IaSW, Peter Pan and I think we got on Indy when the parade was on.

I hope it's better than that for you.

I remember the old days when the wait times were long back in the 90's. Those were long wait times back then.

Yup. It's pretty daunting meeting the partner's parents for the first time. Especially when you want them to like you.

I know asking you not to worry about it isn't going to be any good in this instance; so I hope that you don't get too nervous about it in the lead-up. Good luck with it all.

Yeah... I've only met one boyfriend's parents before and we broke up not long after that (for reasons unrelated to that). I really want them to like me, considering that we've been talking in general terms about getting married and all that. Nothing specific, just generalities ("if we go down that road...", you know, the hypothetical type stuff).

I'm really trying not to get myself overly worried about it. I asked him to find out something I could bake for his mom, since baked goods usually a good in He's sure I'll be fine, I just can't help it.

Jo, We had a much better Christmas than Thanksgiving. I saw my Dad and everything. Glad to hear yours went well.

PiO, I loved Frozen too. We would be down to see it again. Too bad you live so far away or I would go with you for sure. I need to see Saving Mr. Banks again too. We had to pick Xander up at 9. I thought run time included previews. It does not, so we missed the last 20 minutes.

Bret, Have a fantastic time at Disney starting tomorrow. I am nervous for you crowds wise, but happy that you get to be there at such a magical time. Enjoy.

Dana, Hopefully, the meet goes well. We just met my brother-in-law's girlfriend for the first time yesterday. He spent the hour before she arrived warning everyone not to ask her any weird questions. After he said that about the tenth time, he had me AFRAID to talk to her. My point is they may be a little nervous to meet you as well, especially if your boyfriend really hyped up the meeting. Neither side wants to make a bad impression. The boyfriend in this scenario is probably the most nervous, because he wants his family to love you as much as he wants you to love them. Ryan was a wreck. It was pretty funny. I spoke to her very little, since Crap and Ryan insisted I would ask weird questions (this seriously has me thinking they think I am socially awkward). She was absolutely lovely though.

Sorry about the one thing, but I am glad the rest of your day was nice.

Santa surprised me with a Mickey Mouse Chia Pet. Other than that, I knew what I was getting. Lots of beautiful makeup. I love to buy it even though I rarely wear it.
