I have read that it is possible to buy food a la carte in the DLR. Does anyone have any info on pricing for this kind of thing? My kids are strange eaters and the kids meals are not quite right. For instance they would want three chicken legs at the Plaza Inn. Is this an option and what am I looking at for price? Any general a la carte info you can share is greatly appreciated!

At Jolly Holiday, there's a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup combo. You can order just the sandwich. It's maybe $2 less than the combo. You can also sub one of the other soups or sub a side salad, which at the time I did that was the same price as a side of soup. And at Flo's you can order extra sides for about $3. You can also order just sides. I was there last month and they told me that they no longer swap sides, so I had to order an extra side. Previously I've ordered just sides, which for a vegetarian is heaps better than the veggie tater bake.

Sounds like my son's eating habits. We've had no problem when we ask for three chicken legs on the meal at Plaza Inn. Disney is usually very accommodating. If you simply ask they will generally do whatever they can. If it's something they cannot do there is certainly no harm in trying and they will just tell you no. Otherwise, we've always managed to make do with something on the menus and our picky eaters have never gone hungry yet!

Yes, you can get the fried chicken a la carte...I assume it would be a couple dollars per chicken leg - I don't know if they have the actual prices posted anywhere.
