A-L-O-H-A! Just Bought Aulani =)

Hi lilpooh108,
CONGRATS! :woohoo: The resort looks like it will be beautiful and nothing beats a reason to travel to Hawaii! :beach: Enjoy!

Aloha neighbors! We are now part of the Aulani family ourselves. :beach: Looking forward to that first trip home in 2012.

Congratulations Stopher! So happy for you and your family. So when is the first reunion planned?

Congrats to all who have purchased Aulani! The resort seems absoultely amazing and we are planning a DVC visit in 2012. Can't wait until it opens and we started getting live reports! :goodvibes

Thanks Di! We're excited about it. Have talked about it for months now, didn't think we originally would, but that has certainly changed. Having a brother who lives on Oahu, parents who go to the islands twice per year from their home in Oregon, and friends who live on Maui helped sway the decision. So every 3 years, we'll go too, at least initially while the kids are still at home - after that, we'll see, maybe more frequently, only time will tell. Our first trip is tentatively set for summer 2012, with a few days on Maui as well.

Aloha neighbors! We will be part of the Aulani family here soon also. Waiting for the paper work to arrive this week. We initially saw the previews this summer at BLT and just couldn't make up our minds since we are from Indiana, but hey it will be just a long vacation. :goodvibes (Do I seem depressed about that.) :)
I was also surprised that our guide told us we would be a founding member. Makes me wonder if Aulani is not selling as fast as they initially thought.

Congrats to all who call Aulani home. Looking forward to visiting my new home around May 2012 for our 30th anniversary.

Aloha & congrats!

Congratulations to all who have bought in to Aulani. Lived on Oahu for seven years and spent a lot of time in the water off the Aulani area, which used to be big fields of sugar cane. It wasn't unusual to be caught up in a school of porpoise or to have whales nearby. Even had a whale go under the boat on one side and come up on the other.

On only one occasion, crewing in a helicopter, did we see a whale shark along the coast, close to Kaena point to the west. Harmless, but impressive. Looked as long as the helicopter.

Enjoy!

Don't forget about the humpback whales during the winter months. Always see them while staying at the Marriott Koolina.

Keep contemplating buying Aulani points but we have enough for us already, and we live on Oahu so hoping to be able to get last minute ressies.

Congratulations to All!

Aloha,
Jen

Aloha!

Just wanted to let those of you who've purchased Aulani points that I started an Owner's Thread for us... all the other resorts have one, so ours should too. :)

Hope to see you over there...
