To anyone that has ever been to WDW on the 4th of July we were wondering does MK have any of the characters in patriotic costumes or do anything a little different/more patriotic that we should be looking for? Or do any of the other parks do anything interesting for the 4th? this is the one time of the year we haven't been there. Any info would be great!!!! :teeth:

The only patriotic thing I have seen there on the 4th was a wonderful blue man group act in the pavillion by the American Adventure- Oh and once my son was picked to be a minute man on July 4th and he loved that- he got to hold a rifle and was the only child in the mini-show with all the "real" soldiers. He was in heaven. That was 5 years ago and we still have that certificate. And of course they really do up the fireworks in all parks and they sell plenty of July 4th stuff only on that day.
Oh I am talking about EPCOT. We NEVER go to MK on July 4. so I can't tell you about that park.

pirate: I don't remember. BUT I know that the MAGIC KINGDOM is the place to be for fireworks. I love standing by the Haunted Mansion you can see them clear and not a lot of people there. Over by the ride boat, you have to clear the 13 lantern tree first!!

We have been to MK three times on July 4th and will go again. The fireworks are spectacular - at times they ring the park with the crowd in the center. (and the crowd is tons of fun). Be prepared for it to be crowded, but it's worth it.

We have been there for the 4th many times and the fireworks are fantastic. We stand in the middle of Main Street about half way to the castle and the fireworks are all around you. Last year ABC was there video taping the fireworks and we were standing right next to the camera guys. Can't wait, we leave in 7 days for our next 4th of July trip.

At Animal Kingdom, they gave out American flag pins to everyone entering...that was nice.

At MK, I didn't see anything different, no characters dressed up for the 4th.
Ditto MGM.

At Epcot, there was a something going on with CMs dressed up as revolutionary war soldiers. We didn't get too close, because it was so derned hot, we just wanted to get inside somewhere.
