A joint Liberal/Conservative thread. NO DEBATES!!

I don't know! LOL!

It just sounds so good to me! I never heard of it before I read Deb Will's menus one day. I don't know anyone whose tried it either! I imagine it to be something along the lines of Jersey shore chocolate marshmallow fudge, something you have to have at least once in your lifetime! :teeth: Chocoate, marshmallows, and creamy. The things dreams are made of! :teeth:

Just teasing ya! Sounds good. I certainly wouldn't let it sit on the plate too long either. :goodvibes

Richie? Did you have chocolate marshmallow cheesecake while you were at Pop?! :hyper:

I have not had the chocolate marshmellow cheesecake but I will definately look for it next trip!

I'm watching America's Funniest Videos now and they're filming from Magic Kingdom. I'm ready to go right now.

This is how I plan to stay on my next WDW trips. Will still has a say in things, so I may just be dreaming here :teeth:

Pop Century - I really want to swim in the Hippy Dippy Pool. :teeth: Maybe I'll just have to go over there our next trip, just to get that cheesecake!
AKL
POFQ
Polynesian
Contemporary
Coronado Springs
Beach Club

That's a start!

Carribean Beach
NO Riverside
Boardwalk Villas
(I originally joined the DIS to research the DVC and then I wandered off to the Community Board :rolleyes1 .)

I don't know a better place for my 1500 post rather than here. :cool1:

I've stayed at all the value resorts - Like Pop the best because it's so over the top Naggue, I don't know anything about chocolate marshmallow cheesecake but I did try a bite of tie dye cheesecake at Pop. It was okay. The food court has more choices than the other values, I think. At least it used to anyway. I adore the huge "stuff" around the place.

I've stayed all all the moderates except for Coronado Springs - like POFQ best with Caribbean Beach a close second. POFQ seems a bit like NOLA plus it's so cozy, everything's close. The pool is a hoot. They serve beignets at the food court. Caribbean Beach was laid back and relaed, the soft colors and the changing architecture on each "island" was great. The white sandy beach and hammocks were wonderful too. The "old fort" pool was fun too.

I've stayed at Contemporary, Poly, Beach Club, Boardwalk - like Poly best by far. As I explained earlier the Poly just seems right to me. It "looks like" vacation to me. It "feels" like vacation too. Oh and did I mention the pool bar??

On my must do list? Animal Kingdom Lodge, Old Key West and perhaps Sarasota Springs.

What's the buzz on Coronado Springs?
I've stayed at Carribbean Beach and N.O. Riverside (back when it was Dixie Landings). Of the two, I preferred Riverside.

I've stayed at the Coronado Springs 4 or 5 times. It's a great resort, but huge. I can honestly, on some trips, we never got to our room the same way twice. The market in the food court is really nice, but you've got to watch what you put on your tray because it is not a buffet.

The best has to be the pool. That pyramid is gorgeous. Give it a try; I think you'll like it.

Thanks!
For a solo trip, I don't spend much time in the room as I'm usually going at SUPER-WARP-COMMANDO-DISNEY-OR-DIE speed. All I need is a room close to the bus stop, a bed and a bathroom and I'm all set!

If that's all you want, you might want to look at one of the All-Stars. You can't beat the All-Stars for price, basics, and convenience.

I do suggest just popping into the Pop Century just to try their cheesecake. :thumbsup2

In fact a trip to their food court would make a nice trip if you like to resport hop. It's pretty nice for a value resort and the food is better than most of the counter serivce places in the parks. There are also really cool shadow boxes in the lobby to represent different decades. Areall from trip back for those who remember the different items.

Holy cow! 12 pages and not a single fight.

The problem with the value resorts (for me, at least) is the bus stops. On solo trips, I feel safer being close to the bus stops instead of having to walk all across the resort to my room. When I made my reservations, I requested a close proximity to the bus stop. I'm willing to spend a bit extra per night for peace of mind.

It's not just the values, it's all classes. It just depends on the particular resort and the building you get. We walked longer at the Poly from the bus stop to our longhouse than we did at POFQ!

Ah, well. It's too late now, the ressies are already made. I have an AP so I got a pretty good rate on the moderate (I think it was $105 a night) and I requested to be close to the bus stop. I'll look at it as a 'fact finding tour to evaluate and critique a new resort'!
Also, I don't want to take the chance of getting in the middle of a school band/cheerleader/etc. group in the middle of my resort. I've heard that happens more during off-season times. :sad2: :cheer2: :sad2:
