I woke up to the news from my aunt that my cousin had been in an accident and was killed. Those were all the details she would give me and I thought it was a car accident. My cousin was about 4 years younger then me and I can remember holding him as a baby like it was yesterday, I felt so big at the time. We spent alot of time together as kids but as adults I have drifted apart from most of my cousins.
I called his sister who I was supposed to meet me at my grandpas house today to give my condolences and I asked what happened. Apparently he and his wife were on the way to get her kids and he had been drinking. They fought, I don't know what about and he jumped from the moving car and was killed when he hit his head. I don't know how fast the car was going only that his wife wasn't drinking or speeding and will not be charged. This is just such a shock as he had a good job, got along well with his wife (I have to think the fight wouldn't of been that big of a deal if booze weren't involved) got along well with his stepkids and we just think this was a stupid heat of passion thing he did. We are all in shock.
In the past year our grandma died, my cousins got in a serious rollover accident with 2 kids thrown from the car (they survived) and my grandpa just had his leg amputated and now this. This is by far the worst for sure. The shock is wearing off and I am just deeply saddened.
Please pray for his wife, her kids and his mom dad and sister.
