A Hop, NO Skip, and Many Mishaps to a Disney Dream!

I am in complete agreement with you about the dolphin show. What is with all the flying people:confused3
I think you sat in the same spot we sat, because I have the same darn pole in my photos:laughing:

We didn't do the dog show thing, I'm going to guess you didn't either;)

I hope you got to see Shamu!

Oh my gosh, the launch jokes with your Dad - HILARIOUS!! :rotfl2:

Every time I read about Sea World it makes me want to go there more! Joe has no interest, but I'll drag him with anyway!

Thanks so much for that link. I find it all facsinating and will look through it thoroughly. I did do a quick scan at the Sea World pics and then the 6 flags wild life pics. This one cracked me up because it was called the "Skip and Dudley show" (as you know my DH is named Skip)

You can tell in the picture that they just redid the old pirate ship...it still has the sahpe, but a new paint job and props. But I "know". ;) LOL!

That's so funny!

When you went to GL in '98 was when it was owned by 6F.

We agree about the dolphin show. Those crazy bird ladies are just too artsy. Do they still have the birds at the end?

The cat & dog show is surprisingly cute. We knew a girl wo worked for Sea World up here, and then used to be part of the show in Orlando as a trainer/stage person. She let us take DS backstage when he was about a year. It was really neat.

My favorite though is feeding/petting the dolphins and of course the big guy - Shamu! I hope you got to see one of the show!

The best picture I got of the dolphin show was on the 2008 trip. Clicked the camera jsut as they jumped out of water together at the end and there was a delay on the camera.. result is third picture down here Clickie

That is a g ood one. It was really hard to get them.

I did not like the flying people at all. I don't even know if I knew they had a dog show there. I have seen it way back though in Ohio. I think the next show was some diving show.

We are one classy family. Sea World is fun. I know Henry would like it.

That's so funny!

:thumbsup2

I did read that yesterday. But I know it was still called Geauga Lake then. So maybe 6 Flags hadn't done much at that point? I never knew that 6 flags owned it till they bought Sea World, so they must've been quiet about it till then? Or they didn't advertise so much before that around here. But I dod know that year we wetn they kept having commercials for GL and a really cheap annual pass because we considered getting one before we went. But I'm glad we didn't because we were disgusted with all the teen kids there.

loving your pictures of Sea World, its been years and years since we went, at least 15 and I think we went to the one in San Diego even longer back than that. I do know they didn't have any of the roller coaster rides - but I did love the shows. I liked SW back then because it felt more relaxing and slower paced. I do remember my DS feeding something (seals or birds -having a senior morning LOL!). I would love to go back.

I really wanted to see the dolphin show when we went, but we couldn't do all the shows in one day.... not nearly enough time. But now that I have read your thoughts, I don't feel so bad about it. I LOVE dolphins and I would have been disappointed too if it had been more about the performers than the animals.

Thanks. It was a nice day.....very hot though. I think it was the hottest day we had.

I was not too impressed with it. I was looking for all dolphins. Now it wasn't a bad shoaw, just not all dolphins.

I really enjoy watching all of the shows at Sea World! The Clyde and Seymour show really cracks me up. I see that you have 4 days until your next Disney experience. Have fun learning and we all can't wait to hear about it when you return.

Could be. CF bought them in 2004, and I know 6F owned the property for quite a few years. No wait, there was someone else who owned it for a short time before 6F. I'll have to look it up!

It's all so confusing. :rotfl2:

I am working on 1 more update. I hope to get it finished today. After that I will be on hold till I get back from my trip. I got too much going on to keep working on this right now. But I WILL finish, don't worry. I won't be starting my next TR till this one is finished.

Seaworld = my bucket list.

I'm enjoying it so far! I'm SO glad you found that other card. If it were me who lost those pictures, it woulda ruined the rest of the trip for me. Not kidding. But, each day, I do dump the day's pix from the card to my laptop...so if I do, I already have them ;)

I think you got some really good pix of the dolphins. :confused3

Love the Sea World pictures - especially that one of the otter!

Huzzah for only 3 days left! :woohoo: I'm sure you will have a fabulous time and I can't wait to hear all about it!!

Oh come on Jen, you can't just crank out the rest of your TR today? :lmao: I'm totally kidding, I will wait patiently!

Your dad cracks me up! Bring him to the next AEP with you!

I had never really had an interest in Sea World... until now!! Thanks a lot! My Orlando to-do list just keeps getting longer and longer!

In case I miss you....Have a great trip!!!

Does Claire know yet?

Be safe & has funs!!!

I'm sure my report will be ready by the time you get back...which is...?

Jen... I still have a ton of catching up to do on here but I wanted to wish you a great trip!!!!! I can't believe you are heading to the World!!!! pixiedust:pixiedust:

I had Sea World on my bucket list since the mid to late 90's. But we just never seem to have enough time. Since this trip was going to be so different than the norm I decided we would go somewhere off site as well. Skip and I talked about Universal and going to see the new Harry Potter stuff, but we were just worried that it would still be so very busy and decided to wait till the next trip down at least. Then I read a few TR's with a day at Sea World and decided it was time to go. And now Claire keeps talking about it, so I guess we have to go back again. She even told me yesterday "Did you know there is a Sea World in San Diego?"

I can't wait to read about your trip. Take your time though. I know how much work goes into these buggers.

Thanks. Sea World is very pretty. 2 more days!!!!!:cool1: but I am pretty much packed. I just need to get that update I promised finished and then I'll have nothing but time on my hands....:rolleyes1

I wish I could. I am actually happy as far as I am in it though. About 5 weeks ago, I wasn't even sure if I would be through the MK day at the pace I was going. Soi my goal was to get that finished and at least get to the 1900 PF part if this day, so I have surpassed my goal. :woohoo:
I think my Dad would drive you BONKERS by the end of the trip. :upsidedow

I bet Jack would love Sea World. You could extend you California adventure and go to the one in San Diego.

In case I miss you....Have a great trip!!!

Thanks!
Yes Claire knows. In fact she has a countdown Calander this week and has been x-ing off the days till "mom leaves". She thinks she is going to be having one contimous party between her Dad and 2 grandmas. And she probably will. :rolleyes1 She does start school Wed. though and she's excited for that as well.
And she knows that I will be brining home a "prize' for her. I haven't decide just what yet. One thing I think I am getting for her is the Baby Dumbo. But I'll picke her up 1 or 2 other things as well.

Jen, in case I miss you, have a great trip. :goodvibes

Thanks Kathy. I know what you mean. I have given up getting cuaght up by the time I leave. I gave Lisa a congrats on Lacey and Jessie's wedding yesterday, because I don't think I'll be able to again.

Jen... I still have a ton of catching up to do on here but I wanted to wish you a great trip!!!!! I can't believe you are heading to the World!!!! pixiedust:pixiedust:

Just kidding! Have a great trip! :yay:

:dance3:

:rolleyes1 Yes,..... yes I am! (we need a Phineas and/or Ferb smilie)

I would love to extend our CA trip, but 10 days is already pushing it I think work wise... and sanity wise since it will be just me and Jack! :lmao:
