A Hop, NO Skip, and Many Mishaps to a Disney Dream!

Hello I put my 8 year old in a stroller when its really hot or late. She gets too cranky NOT to. She will be 9 on Friday and I SO will still put her in a stroller when necessary. Of course it helps that she's like Tinkerbell.. she may have Rapunzel's hair, but she is TINY! She is 47" tall (not tall enough for Primeval whirl yet) and just about 45 pounds... soaking wet! She wears a size 6x-7 depending on brand. she can wear size 5 shorts too. Her shoe size is 13 in little girls. Most of her friends are a head taller at least and could never fit in a stroller. But Heidi fits. I still have a Disney stroller ticket left over from last trip. DH just usually gets a weekly packet and we use as needed, which means we have a couple left over each trip.

btw: I have no idea how to edit my counting ticket that says just the 3 of us. Its no longer just the 3 of us. My friend and her daughter are joining us on the 17th.

Claire is bigger than her! LOL! Claire is so much taller than most of the kids in her class. She is wearing some 10's. I think she's around 62 pounds right now.

Oh sure, leave us hanging on, waiting to take the plunge!:lmao:

I laughed when I seen Claire's 1st close up of her face, she looks alittle aprehensive.

I want to do SM, in Sept, but I don't want to walk around with a wet hinder!

Sorry. I want to update more, but with starting the new PTR I actually did a lot today! :rotfl:
Claire was very interested in all the little things along the route. I don't think she was scared...I might've been though! :confused3

My hinder did dry fairly fast...thank goodness.

Jen, the baby duckling photos are precious!

And I love the shot of Claire anticipating the drop on Splash!

So did you really just lean over the camera to protect it from the water? I keep trying to get a good shot of the drop, but I get careful and tentative with my camera. I took a plastic bag and cut a hole for the lens. But I was still worried.

Of course, we didn't get a chance to try that at all on our last trip. December........ high in the 40's........ need I say more?

Actually it was a little warmer later in the week, but it was STILL too cold for either of us to want to give it a go. We did walk by and see log after log come down ........... EMPTY!

I think when we came to the big drop I kind of put it in my camera bag and leaned over that to protect it. It was kind aof a rushed thing because I hadn't realized we werre at the drop. LOL!

DH and I had one day in MK last October, I'm not sure if we had fast passes for SM but we were wearing our Celebration buttons for our Anniversary and one of the CMs was an older, retired gentleman who spotted our buttons, pulled us out of line (told us a really corny marriage joke:rotfl:) and sent us through a back door that led right down to the loading area! Of course, I sat on the side where the water cannon blasts you and was soaked, which DH of course thought was hilarious! Can't wait to see Claire's reaction to this ride ..

We got one of “those” families behind us ….. close walkers…you know the kind…you take one step forward and they take two.

Ugggg, I hate people like this! I actually let a lady and her kid go in front of me in line at Space Mountain once because I was so sick of her pushing into my back.

I, too, hate close walkers. There's no need for them to get all smooshed in on you because it's obvious the line's not moving any more right that second. Ugh!

Ditto.

I often feel like turning around and saying "I've got a five year old boy here. He likes to randomly kick people in the shins. Just something you might want to consider."

That family would have really annoyed me too. I can't stand stuff like that. I NEED my personal space. Why do they think they are going to get on any faster my hovering over you like that? I don't get it. When you factor in the heat and sweat, that would have done me in!

But you got some wonderful shots of SM! I can't handle the drops on that ride, but I love everything else about it.

We got one of “those” families behind us ….. close walkers…you know the kind…you take one step forward and they take two. It was a little annoying. The line wasn’t moving very fast, so it wasn’t like I was lagging behind. I had actually turned a couple of times and bumped right into them. I guess they didn’t care, because they didn’t stop hugging us. I just get really annoyed by that. I was hot and sweaty and I didn’t need someone else’s sweat on me. I needed a little personal space.

Oh yeah. Been there. Not a good thing.

Hey look…a milk can!

How special!! I always want that to happen, but I guess we don't have the right look for back door treatment! :rotfl:

I sometimes will go extra slow, just to irritate them! :rolleyes1

I seem to attract these people. It wasn't the only time I had a close walker family behind me.

I love that! I'm always watching Claire to be sure she isn't crowding the people in front of us too. I think kids do it more often, and it's annoying and the parents should kind of teach them...but they are just kids...while parents KNOW better.

The good thing is there aren't really many drops. it is a neat ride. I seem to usually get away from not getting to wet either. I HATE getting wet on a ride. I do the duck down in your seat as far as possible and I usually make it out OK....usually....

She was having a good time. Claire, unlike me, was excited each time she got a little splash. She LOVED it and would say, "look how wet I am?" ....of course she really wasn't very wet.

I was going to work on an update today, but my internet (along with all of NW OHIO) lost service for several hours. I just decided to work on a few of Claire's dance recital pictures...then I completely walked away from the computer till now. I actually got my living room and kitchen looking pretty clean!

I will NEVER get a picture of the Splash Mountain drop... too busy holding on for dear life.........with my eyes closed!!:lmao:

I know what would get rid of close walkers!! ha ha... spin some nun-chucks.. they create some nice personal space!:rotfl2:

I hope everything is OK.

Darn...somehow I got way far behind yet again. Love the pictures of Claire on your last day on the ship with her "favorite guy."

Great photos of Pop. Too bad about the room; but I guess with the pool being closed, not a big deal.

Love Splash Mountain (missed it last year because of Mark's surgery and can't wait to get back on it).

Great pictures of Splash Mountain. It made me feel like I was getting ready to ride. I hate getting wet too. I always bring our ponchos for that ride but I end up with a wet backside anyway:laughing:

:goodvibes. Yes..we will be here another week...will make for a lot of dis time. If you are curious, pop over to my PTR.

I'm gonna get over there eventually! I am so behind lately, but I do want to read it

Don't worry. I am behind with everything lately. She loved that waiter. She was talking about him last night again.
You're right, with that pool closed, it didn't make so much of a difference anyways. I do slike Spalsh too, I just wish they would make it so those who don't want to get wet,...don't!

I always get it on my hindy...but when you have one like mine, it's hard to avoid!

Loving the Splash photos, never really noticed the outside line area details before :)
