A high school student is hard to surprise!

We've just about made it to the surprise trip this weekend. I packed everyone last weekend (thank you, New England cold snap) and DS 10 and 14 don't suspect a thing. They're looking forward to a four day weekend (teacher professional day Tuesday).
So last night my HS freshman son came up to me all frustrated because he can't find his "good" socks, and all his favorite t-shirts. Oops. They've been packed since last weekend. I made something up about "maybe your dad put them in with his by accident..". Luckily I have lots of people in on it, so he doesn't really suspect anything, but I really have to be on my toes not to slip.

I can't wait to spring the news when they get home from school on Friday. I can feel those Polynesian breezes already!
