We did DL in 06 with the grandparents, one of whom was in a wheelchair. We all got along great and the kids LOVED sharing it with Grandma & Grandpa. We paid for a few meals and they paid for a few, tried to make it a bit "even". All in all it was a special, magical vacation for us.

The only downside was pushing the wheelchair everywhere. Ugh. We don't really have extra hands with 3 kids, KWIM? We're headed to WDW in Feb. and we have made a "rent an ECV" rule. We are NOT pushing a wheelchair around the parks!

reading some of these posts I just wanted to say to those with ungrateful family. I will happily rent my family for a free trip to Disney. I can assure my children will not whine and will behave as perfect angels. We will also eat at any restaurant you choose and be HAPPY to spend our vacation in Disney. Just PM me with dates and times.

I'm sorry you were disappointed. We just returned on 12/17, after a ten day trip with my inlaws and brother in law. We had 1 wheelchair, and a double stroller w/8 people all together. We stayed at Bonnet Creek in a 3 bedroom, and rented a pilot. I did all the planning and we stuck to the plan. The trip was fantastic and we are thinking of doing it all again. I was amazed that we were able to ride and see as much as we did. We enjoyed the Luau, and had a wishes firework cruise. I bought disney gifts cards throughout the year to pay for food and we enjoyed many different places.(We left with some unused cards)We payed for 90% of everything, but after 10 children, we felt they had earned the trip, and we were glad we were able to do it for them. I'm starting to plan our next trip, and we are thinking of asking them to join us again. My daughters and MIL cried on our last night. Janice
