A happy dilemma

I have our rooms reserved at POP for this coming September, and I couldn't have been happier, UNTIL...my dh said, "I sure would like to stay at AKL, and POFQ for that matter, wouldn't you?" Well, he is a cop, and we are a one income family. AKA...Limited budget! (I homeschool our 3 children, and that is my full time job.) But, who am I to disappoint the man I love. So, he suggested we stay at POP, then maybe POFQ, then end up at AKL. That is 3 resorts in one trip! I did kinda want to stay at POFQ since we are having a date night while there, and I'm treating my dh to dinner, and La Nouba, and POFQ has the carriage rides, which I was hoping to include in our date. Sigh...But I'm not sure I want to do that much moving around. I was thinking maybe 3 days at POP and then 5 days at AKL. Or not. We really can't decide. I'm PRAYING for AP rates, or Florida Resident rates that are pretty good. But I can't decide whether to do all 3 resorts or just the 2. We are only staying 8 nights. Has anyone done 3 resorts in a week before, or is it just not worth it? I really can't do more than 4 or 5 nights at AKL. But there are so many configurations! BTW, there are 7 of us traveling together. My Aunt and Uncle are joining our family of 5, so we'll need 2 rooms. And did I also mention that my uncle is a quadrapalegic? But very mobile. Any suggestions will be gratefully appreciated.

ps. What about the luggage?!!! :confused3

Bell services will move your luggage from resort to resort.

I agree that one move will be sufficient. Moving days aren't very restful even though Disney makes it pretty easy. Whatever you do, make sure you leave the best resort (i.e. deluxe) for last. Have a great trip.

It was a piece of cake. We started at AKL, moved to CR and ended up at BWV's. The luggage was handled by bell services, picked up at our room and delivered to our next room by 3:00. We packed up the night before, called bell services to arrange a pick up time, said goodbye to our luggage and went to the parks. Then after lunch, we checked into our new resort. Easy as can be. Now, there are only two of us, and we are adults so our luggage may be easier to pack up than a family with small children. The only downside we found was the cost of tipping all those bellpersons, otherwise it turned out wonderfully.
btw, the carriage ride through POR is just fabulous. We had a great time, very romantic.

I think 3 resorts is just crazy especially with that how many people you have and all the packing and unpacking.

I would hate for you to stand in lines to check in over and over again. Istead of being at a park enjoying yourself.

We are Port Orleans Riverside f/k/a Dixie Landings fans. The resort is the sister resort to POFQ and we really enjoy our stay. It seems to be so relaxing to come back there after a hectic day at the parks. Animal Kingdom Lodge is nice. Our 8 year old DS loves POP. So any you choose would be an excellent choice.

By the way, we are a one income family, my dh is a cop and I homeschool our 8 yo DS. We also live in Fla. Seems like we have alot in common.

If you have any questions, we are here for you.

Diane

we're doing 3 resorts in 9 nights... 2 at RPR (universal), 5 at CR and the final 2 at AKL... i'm hoping it's not too bad... my plan is to not pack much and so laundry a few times... wish me luck!
