You are going to have so much fun and love it. I saw The Lion King when it was in San Francisco and it was awesome. Now if I could have found a way to see it on Broadway in New York I'm sure it would have been even better!! Have a great time!!!

I would be so excited, too! Have you listened to the music from the show yet? Are there new songs or just the ones from the movie?

No, I haven't. I actually saw the CD at the library today and almost checked it out... then I decided I wanted to be surprised!! :goodvibes

mrsksomeday and ladylyons: Isn't that a gorgeous photo?? I just love that blue!

I understand the costumes are amazing! :cloud9:

Naturally, I will try to take pix without flash....hope they will come out!

Oh yes it's a very pretty, simple picture!! Just love it!

When we went to The Lion King I was just enthralled with the whole show and didn't see the cast as people but saw them as the characters they were playing. It was awesome!

Just have to add so jealous both a Disney Broadway Show and Disney World in one year. Have a great time!!

It was a very tough choice.... I really want to see Lion King, but thought Little Mermaid would be amazing, too!! I finally went with LM because I thought, oh, I don't know, I guess in the end it really was just, "Eenie, meanie, miney, mo!!"

I am so thrilled, really, and not trying to make anyone jealous!! Just sharing my excitement! When my kids were your age, we never went anywhere like this. Now that they are 11 and 13, I think they are able to actually appreciate the show.

(Plus, I never would have purchased the tickets had it not been for that Buy One/Get One for $15 deal. It's still a big splurge, but the offer was too good to pass up.)

I'm trying to recall the last time I went to a Broadway show.... its been a looong, looong time! (The Wiz, perhaps? Beatlemania??) It's really a shame since we don't live that far from New York City.

I've seen Sesame Street Live at the theater at Madison Square Garden a few times.... but I guess that doesn't really count!! :rotfl:

I'm going to agree that you made the right choice :thumbsup2 (Mostly because I made the same one!!! :rotfl2:)

I'm only on pg 13 of your report, so perhaps this has already been mentioned, but if you arrive on 10/31, go to Downtown Disney that night. We were able to "trick or treat" at the stores and had a great time. FOR FREE!

Is the woman in that picture the same one who's doing the show now? Isn't she the same one who started in it? I remember seeing her perform on the Today Show when it first began. :goodvibes

That is a beautiful picture and I'm so jealous you are going to see it. I hope to see Little Mermaid and Mary Poppins soon. :goodvibes Fun Fun Fun!

I love you method of choosing!!! That is too funny!! I had no choice when we went the only one showing was The Lion King. I've heard that the Little Mermaid is also amazing. Now I just have to figure out a way to get my DH to agree to a trip to NY. But I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon since it took some begging and bribery to get us to DisneyWorld. :rotfl:

I love reading about your excitment. I didn't mean it in a bad way about being jealous. Please don't let it take any of your excitement away. When we went to The Lion King it was just my DH and I when we went. It was before we had our little ones so we were able to afford a lot more little luxeries (sp?). Now I just get Disneyland every year for Christmas. Which I guess isn't a bad thing. :confused3

I got lucky and got to go see Phantom of the Opera in San Francisco this past December. My parent's came down from Oregon to see us for an early Christmas and I talked them into watching our little ones so DH and I could have a night out with out the kids and it was so much fun to have a night for just the two of us.

Hope you give us a review of The Little Mermaid after you go. Looking forward to hearing if it's as good as everything I've read about it. Have fun!

Hey There!! I've read all your responses, but I cannot keep my eyes open for one more minute... so I will have to post on my lunch break tomorrow!!

Nite-Nite!! :wave2:

I'm deciding between Giselle and Ariel, myself.

I'd love to see you as Giselle Hedy!

but I definitely had the hair and those Madonna bracelets... you would wear, like, ten of them on each wrist!!! :rotfl:

I still have my braclets....no I don't wear them :rolleyes1

:yay::yay: for getting in AKV and your Sat-Sat dates...how super exciting...Mae liked your row of jumping Mickeys and Simbas too. how very awesome. I just know you will guys have such a great time and schedule in lots of resort time!

How fun it will be to see TLM on Broadway and a nice gift for AR too. I'd love to see Mary Poppins here in Chicago

Can't wait for more pre-Halloween fun and planning

When I realized that Disney has been on Broadway for 15 years and I had yet to see any of the shows, I figured I had better get going!!
