A great way to stay organized while planning!

Planning a wedding can be pretty stressful and making things run smoothly I believe to be organized is MAIN KEY

What I did is I went to Office Depot got a 3” binder with dividers and labeled each divider
Officiant
Smashing Cards _Invitations
Photography- Randy Chapman

Etc.

I was able to find payments made by check, cc so easy
and when My planner would call and refer to floral proposal it was right there

I was so easy for me to find where all papers, notes, correspondences with vendors

Hope this helps all future brides planning their big Day

Also Hallmark sold this small organizer for those RSVP’ing to your wedding
This helped me tremendously as well

This is a great idea! I did something similar (but not half as good looking ) with a binder and tabs.

I also included a bunch of clear page-protector sheets so I could slip in things that couldn't be hole-punched, like scraps of ribbon or color chips and pages torn out of magazines.

Yup me too! I bought a large white view binder and abc'd all my tabs. It went something like: Budget, Contacts, Dresses, Floral, Guest list (included guests info), Hair & Jewelry, Menus, Miscellaneous, Music, Photography, etc...

It was a bit bulky though towards the end so i carried it in my backpack!ha!

I did this too...It was soooooo helpful. Everything was in one place and I never had to go digging through emails to find contracts, pricing, etc. My DH would laugh because my binder grew to the point where I had to replace it with a a larger one (this happened about 4 times)

I had one on that idea also. So much better doing your own then one of the premade ones. Especially with a Disney wedding. So many things are not the same with an at home wedding. I actually had two binders - one with EVERYTHING and then a smaller one that I could carry around. I am now home from our wedding and I am putting both binders together. I want to same some stuff - but do not need everything.

Totally agree. I bought a "pre done" binder and seriously never used it. Instead my mom and I created our own "go to binder" that worked out SO much better. Needless to say, don't waste your $$- just buy a binder, tabs, & a 3 ring hole punch. And print off everything of importance that you receive via web search, magazines, mail or email. Organization is the key to a smoother wedding planning process. (even though Disney has it down pretty darn well)

I just bought my binder, tabs, and protective sleeves today! I figure since I have one contract, it's time to start! I can't wait to get it all organized...and if I'm feeling particularly nerdy, I might decorate it.

I'm gonna do this too. There is nothing out there for destinations weddings! (other than Carrie's book...maybe she could work on the accompanying binder next ) Right now I have 2 notebooks. One sits next to my computer the other is in my bag that goes with me to work, bridal shows etc. I have one of those according folders for stuff from magazines. Eventually this will all get merged. When I get my first contract I'll make a big deal of it and do this

I think decoration is definitely in order!!!

Oooh - I like it! In the meantime, all you gotta do is print the planning pages out at 8 1/2 x 11 and hole punch them, and they can go right into that binder of yours!
