A great boss!

Hello All ~ I had to tell you about my great boss. I work in a school and have to follow the Peel School Boards vacations schedule....Cmas, March Break, Summers off....

It's really frowned upon to take other vacation times. Last year I asked for the week after March Break off to do WDW. My boss relunctantly said okay but asked that I not do it again.

With dd's health issues being more serious this year we are doing a Florida and WDW trip for March break and the week after.

I left a message with my boss about taking the week after March Break off. She just messged me back with loving support okay!

Not many folks like their boss....I had to pass on that their are great bosses out there!

I'm an admin. assistant in our Elementary School and I too have to follow the school calendar. Our board has really cracked down on taking vacations outside the scheduled time off...even though we're given 15 vacation days .. anyhoo I was really worried asking....but my wonderful boss said yes! I had to ask for the 2 days before March break and the entire week after

I work for a company that really values the employees. At the last meeting management said that with so many Baby Boomers retiring and not enough
20-somethings to take their place, it makes sense to retain current employees. I think that's where the awesome support comes from.

Also, 99.9% of the staff are women and we all understand the value of family.

I love my job. I'm not a daycare-provider, I'm a PEOPLE BUILDER!
