Hey, Kari!! Are you going to invite us to that yummy picnic..or at least ship us some of the incredible sounding goodies??? My mouth is watering just reading .... :teeth:

Tracy, I've read great reviews of Flying Fish too - woohoo - you are having amazing luck with ADR's!!

Did you get Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace?

I have Chef Mickey's but not CP. I think I'm going to get deluxe dining for the five nights we are at Poly. I think... :scared:

...sigh...al this planning..guess where I want to go???

DISNEYLAND!!

Yup, it's my absolute favorite Disney park - well, to me Disneyland is the Magic Kingdom, not CA Adventure. I went my first time when it was opened less than 2 yrs!!

You are actually close enough to come Christine! You can be in Garner in an hour and a half. Bring Sophia and my kids will keep her entertained! We are going out there around 5, the NC Symphony plays at 8:30, and fireworks are at 9:30.

There is a Girls Only trip over on the DL board that I joined, but then got worried about planning something so far away and what if we have to move? (Kathy, that place in IL is still a possibility..Bloom something? Darn, I forgot...a big AMEX Corporate travel Office)..but now I'm thinking why not? No WDW plan in the works and it would be last next Feb for AL.

What do y'all think?

Kari, if I could drive, I'd be there in a heartbeat!!

That sounds like fun! Start chatting with the people there and see if you "click" with anyone. Maybe you can find another solo traveler to share the hotel with and all!

Shoot! I forgot about that pesky detail!

I did that, but they are a very chatty group and have done a few trips together already. Everyone really knows one another and I found it hard to keep up and/or to connect with any one person. With the move possibility and trying to keep up, dropped out after a few weeks. I'm so darn shy!! I know it seems hard to beleive her, but this feels more one on one...we're a small group. ::yes:: And sooo sweet!!!!!! :rotfl:

I think it's quite a large group and most have already room plans - 4 or more to a room. They really know one another well. I think a few of the mom's are going along, so they would be my age or older, but they are rooming with their adult DD's, of course.

Everyone was friendly and welcoming!

Can I book dining for the entire trip with just the one day park ticket or will I have to buy them with each resort stay? Follow me?

ETA. ah, I'll just go search on the dining plan board.

Yep, you can book for your entire stay. The park tkts have nothing to do with it - just your resort nights. :)

Thanks. I can't decide which dining plan to get. Deluxe is just too much food and regular is not enough. (when you have ADRs) Grrrrr.

DH and I get the regular plan. If we're really hungry and the meal and the dessert aren't going to be enough, we order an appetizer and we split it. It has turned out really well that way for us. There is no way I could ever do the deluxe plan.

I am going INSANE, Kathy! There is not enough dining credits for what I want to do. :( I think I need to go make a beverage... or two :rolleyes1

Wait. You might be moving?! I think I missed a post or two. Ack. Is this a good (happy) move? I sure hope so!

Have two--it will help. :drinking1:drinking1

I can't help with the signature restaurants, because we've never done them (DH refuses to get "dressed" for dinner...he wants shorts ONLY).

Here are the places that we have dined over the last three years during "free dining":

Epcot: Biergarten, Rose & Crown and LeCellier***
Magic Kingdom: Liberty Tree Tavern, Plaza and Crystal Palace***(breakfast only)
Animal Kingdom: Yak & Yeti***
Studios: Mama Melrose***

Downtown Disney: Fulton's***
Resorts: Whispering Canyon Cafe, Boatwright's, Cape May Cafe***

Our favorites have the stars next to them; Whispering Canyon Cafe and Boatwright's we will never go back to. We want to try Boma for breakfast (don't want the spices at dinner), California Grill (I've talked DH into one "nice" meal--he can wear khaki shorts and a polo shirt), The Wave at the Contemporary, the Italian restaurant at Epcot (the name escapes me at the moment), and Kona's and Ohanas
