Oooh, that's right. You got a code!! Pick me pick me!!!

I've gotten codes about 3 times this year, but can't afford to use them. :sad2: Hubby's job is on the line right now, and we are trying not to spend anything we don't have to.

UGH. I'm sorry to hear that. This recession stuff really stinks. A lot. :sad2: I hope he is spared.

I think I'm gonna turn into a pumpkin. It's 12:30! :scared1:

His office does most of the engineering work on schools throughout our state. Well, since all building and remodeling has been halted, their work has gone down by 75%. They have been doing a little better in the last month or so, but no where near good. They had 1 round of layoffs. Pepople who stayed took pay cut and reduced hours. Then they cut health insurance. They are hoping things will turn around by Oct, so we are hanging in there and keeping our fingers crossed.

How is it 12:30 there? I am on the Atlantic coast, and it is 11:30 here. Aren't you Eastern Standard time?

Ugh. That's awful. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for your family!

Yes, I am on the east coast, but the Atlantic provinces, (New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia) are an hour ahead because we are on Atlantic Time. Newfoundland is actually a half hour ahead of us! And there is your Canuck trivia for the day! :p

When we lived in Boston, we decided we'd never stay at WL because who wants to see pine trees in FL??? We wanted palm trees and tropical magic, so our first several stays were at the Poly (and CR, but mostly Poly), the CBR opened and wow....tropical for less $$$. LOVED it...we don't love it as much with the Nemo or Pirate theme, b/c we absolutely loved the tropical curtains and shower curtain....news one do nothing for us, so no more CBR stays until it goes back to tropical flowers. :(

I have to agree, the tropical bedspread and shower curtains were nice. I think you might be happy ay CSR too in the Cabanas section.

TO THE OP:
I just read though the chapters and wanted to say, thanks for sharing your stories with us. I am looking forward to reading your review of CSR.

 :scared1: Now I have to decide on requesting Cabanas or Casitas. :scared1: :faint:

I agree! I kept going back and forth. I originally chose the Cabanas, since they are all renovated. They are the two story and from the pictures remind me the most of CBR. So, they might be a great fit for you!

I finally chose Casitas 4 or 5 since we want to experience a more Mexican/Spanish themed vacation. I check in in 8 days! Like you, I just really, really want a renovated room!

Just wanted to say good morning to all my friends!:grouphug:

Good Morning, Kathy and all!

Only 76 here today...but thunderstorms (woke up to a lightening storm this morning and pouring rain by the time I left for the office). But next week, starting on Father's Day, we start hitting the wonderful 80's. :woohoo:

You are welcome. By the way things are going, ya'll might be getting a split stay review! :rolleyes1

Yes ma'am! I'm so excited. I even made some dining reservations! I know! I'm outta control!

Honestly? We think that she's probably a struggling single mother, (her choice - she told us she got pregnant on purpose) living in the not so nice part of town and is embarrassed. (her daughter has said a few things during conversation that leads us to believe this) Hubby has told her that he doesn't care if she lives in a tin can. She is his sister and he wants to meet her. She does have issues. :( She certainly is a habitual liar. She has told us many times that she has mailed pictures, gifts, will send emails... I don't think she can keep her stories straight, really. It's too bad. We don't want anything - only to love her.

I'm sorry your trip is a bust this year. Seems common these days. Stinks. :( And yeah... ZOMG!!! :scared1: 44 days. :scared1:  :scared1:

I am sorry you had to cancel the trip to LA twice. It does sound like she is worried about what you will think of her and the life she has now. I think in time she might be more open to seeing you in person.

I think it would be a good idea to make plans for your family to vacation there, possibly next summer, so you can see Disneyland. Then you can just plan to meet her somewhere in LA. Ask her and your niece to come to your hotel and visit. Then you can spend the day taking your niece to Disneyland.

Even though she lives in LA your niece might have never been to Disneyland. Perhaps your hubby could tell his sister that you have extra tickets/days to use from this year's trip, so the there would be no cost for her and her daughter. I am guessing that the sister goes along with plans, etc. and then backs out at the last minute in order to avoid letting you know that she doesn't have the money to go to Disney, etc. Someone in this situation might also be reluntant to accept money, etc even from a "family member". That is why I suggest the story of the extra tickets.

I can tell you are one that loves cliffhangers! You have certainly dropped a lot of them in this thread! That is what makes you a good story teller!

Come on, spill! What are you concocting now? Are you going with a split stay between CSR and Poly?

I did I did I did! :woohoo: So far, I have Boma's, 'Ohana's and Planet Hollywood. I'm on the fence with Narcoossee's. :goodvibes

Boma's for breakfast or dinner? We're going to do breakfast on the next trip; I don't think I'd like dinner. Ohana's for breakfast or dinner? We also have Ohana's on the next list trip for dinner (won't do breakfast--not fans of Stitch); we've not done Planet Hollywood at Disney--we have one in Chicago and went to the one in Las Vegas as well so no need to do a third.
