Woke up at 5:30, really wanted to work out. Ordered room service instead. LOL! Stepped onto the balcony, mesmerized by the calm of the lagoon. Room service arrived in about 30 minutes. CM offered to set the table, we politely declined. She too was pleasant and wished us a GRAND day. We ordered two GRAND breakfasts' including scrambled eggs, choice of breakfast meat, hash browns or grits, coffee and orange juice. Everything was of the proper temperature. The bacon was cooked perfectly to our taste. The bill was $45 with tax, delivery and gratuity. Took the coffee onto the balcony and enjoyed the view.
Got dressed and arrived at MK at open. Monorail ride was quick! Headed straight to Tomorrowland for Buzz and COP, both were no wait. Noticed people in a line for Stich. Got Space Cadet status on Buzz, should have sat in a separate car. I was happy to see COP up and running. It was great fun and I spotted three of the four hidden Mickey's in the final scene. Next stop was SM- wait time was 15 minutes. I love and hate this ride. Love the speed and darkness, hate that its so jerky. After that I needed to relax on TTA. That was also no wait. Decided to head over to Mickey's TT to see Minnie's house. Pluto was signing autographs in the back and I'd decided before leaving home I would get more pictures with the characters. Pluto was great! He hugged me really tight and pretended to follow me home. Went to Mickey's house next and decided to stay to meet him in the Judge's tent. Waited in line about 30 mins. Took our own photos and purchased the one they snapped. ( $16.95 for one 5X7 and four wallets - not a bad deal. )
Hopped on the RR and got off in Frontierland. It was packed! Posted wait time for Splash was 25 minutes, but the line looked longer. DH grabbed us a FP and we headed over to the turkey leg cart. It had just opened so I chatted with a woman also eager to make a purchase. The meat was yummy as always, but did they increase the price? Played checkers just outside the general store then headed over to HoP. Looked at all of the portraits but didn't stay for the show. DH decided to have a hot dog at Liberty Square so we sat for a while. By then it was time for Splash. With FP it took about 10 minutes to board the log. We were SPLASHed pretty hard. It was a blast! Headed over to HM where the posted wait time was 25 minutes. The line wasn't moving so we got out of line deciding to try it another day. It was getting crowded. Wait time for Peter Pan and Snow White was 60 mins. Decided to end MK with some browsing on Main Street. Hopped the boat back to the GRAND- got there in less than 3 mins. Hung out at the pool for a bit then headed back to the room to freshen up for 5:30 PS at Ohana. Arrived early and were seated by the window overlooking the GRAND. Once again, the darkness made the atmosphere even more beautiful. There were even fireworks going off on the beach. 'Melisse' was our waitress, Cousin 'Cliff' her assistant. They were very pleasant. Cliff looks like Robert Guillome, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Harry Bellefonte all rolled into one. Said guest tell him that every single day. LOL! Stay tuned for Ohanas report in the Dining Forum.
From Poly we took the bus to DD - one of my favorites. Got off at PI/Westside and it was bustling. Headed over to Magnetron, a MUST DO every trip. They don't take the Rewards card so decided not to make a purchase at that time. Checked out HOB store and DH bought a couple T-shirts. It was MTV2's Headbanger's Ball night ... Loved the creative attire.
Next stop was the Cirque Store - always cool to browse. Spotted a sign about the release of the La Nouba DVD happening the next day. A chance to see live acts and get autographs. We had to miss it. Bummer! By then it was time to party at 8 Traxx, baby! (Which by the way has been turned into a 70's and 80's club.) We stayed for a couple hours, heaed back to the room at about 10:00. Didn't wait long for the bus that we shared with WL. Hit the sack around midnight. Another GRAND day...

First day of SSW at MGM and we got going way too late. Wanted to see if there was really free coffee in the lobby -there was! Decide autographs aren't important justifying late arrival to the Studios. Make it there after 9:00 and it was crazy! Took about 25 minutes to get in. Hollywood Blvd. was jam packed! There was a stage set up and some GH stars were doing interviews. Decided to bypass those. Stopped at Minn & Bill's Dockside Diner for water and headed over to the Commissary for Casting Call hosted by Cameron Mathison of AMC. Getting inside the theater was a challenge, but the show was a hoot! Three audience members competed for a chance to do a scene with Michael E Night (Tad - AMC.)
From there we headed over to RNRC, which we'd never done. DH wasn't planning to ride but I wanted to prove something. Grabbed a FP- return time 2 hours. DH ran into a woman he works with. That was cute as they don't work in the same state and neither knew the other was visiting. It's a Small World After All...
I was hungry and suggested Sci-Fi. DH was all for it! Didn't think we'd be able to get in w/o PS. See upcoming report in Dining Forum. As we were leaving I came face to face with Kamar del Reyes, 'Antonio' from OLTL. All I could think to say was Hi! LOL! I was my very first celebrity encounter. As we neared Hollywood Blvd. some AMC celebs were approaching the stage. Captured video of my favorites, including Susan Lucci. That was also challenging, but great! It was time for RNRC but I'd lost the FP along the way. Decided to browse the shops for a while then hit the road. Agreed to try for autographs the next day. Couldn't believe how the crowd wore us out.
Took a quick nap then got ready for 6:00 PS at Yachtsmen. Left the room at 5:00, took monorail to TTC, TTC to EPCOT, walked to Yacht Club from there. Underestimated the time that would take. Arrived 17 minutes late - embarrassing. (Dining reports are coming soon.) After dinner we strolled the Boardwalk then took the boat back to EPCOT. Didn't stay, just walked right through straight to the monorail. (Oh how I love the UPH!) Made it back to the room in time for Electric Water Pageant. Also a first and boy was it enchanting! Despite the things that didn't go as planned, it turned out to be another magnificent day in the World!
