I have a reservation for my upcoming trip that I had made in Feb. However, at that time, I was thinking I was going 11/29-12/9. It is a great rate, by today's standards, $264 for the 11 days, (early arrival, late departure), tax incl. It was for a full size EA (back when EA was full size too), DC and DC coupon.

At some point, I had decided to move my trrip forward one day, 11/30-12/10. I made several reservations, using various combinations of codes, and all were somewhat higher than this, most were standards, and none on EA, due to coupons used for upgrades.

And I had gone online several times, looking to change this one, and each time I plugged in the reservation number, it came out with current rates, about $100 more. If I changed it forward by one day, it remained about $100 more too. So, I called the EC number and talked to Tena (yes, with an 'e'), a pleasant rep. I told her what I wanted to do, change the reservation forward by one day, arrival and departure. She plugged the numbers in, same results, naturally. I asked her if anything might be done, she told me to hold on, came back, told me to fax in my reservation to Diane, explaining what I wanted to do and she would take care of it, original rate, $264.

Good service, IMO. :)

Glad it worked out for you Dan, it did for us too. I made a EA reservation last March for this Thanksgiving week. Our plans changed by one day and the rate went WAY UP!! I called and spoke with EA customer Manager and after a bunch of hemming and hauing got them to change the date and keep the rate. It was actually the same amount of time but the pickup day was a day earlier and leaving was a day earlier. The first agent I spoke to basically said that is too bad - no. Ask for the supervisior. He was surprises at my low rate. He said that is a holiday, I said I know, that is why I need to keep the rate. The new rate was so high that I could of returned the car to WDW location on Friday, picked up a new one day rental and still saved $400!! They at first couldn't understand that it was to their favor to let me keep one car and not turn in one and get a new one for less money!

I also made a reservation last February, it was for Dec 5 to 12. I reserved full size EA for about $120. I was anticipating that we would stay at a non-DVC for Dec 5 and move to BWV on Dec 6. We ended up deciding to just go Dec 6 to 12. I was able to go online and change the date of the reservation, it did make me go to intermediate EA, but it went down to $110.

Good job,

you are very polite, Dan, and I think that goes a long way with the phone operators.

I wish you good weather in Orlando for your trip. Yucky weather headed to Chicago tonight. I guess we needed the rain here in MN, tho.

herc.
