We are looking for a month when we can camp and we would not need A/c or heat in our popup. We do have a little heater for our popup if needed at night but overall just looking for the month when nothing is needed. Please let me know your opinion and experiences.

I would pick nov, march, or april. Even sometimes dec can be a good choice too. Depending on if we have a late winter. Jan and feb is usually when we get a lot of freezing temps.

The shoulder months of March/April and October/November probably have the best weather for camping without AC or heat.

Be forewarned that the spring months are among the most expensive at the Fort (other than Christmas-New Years time) so if you are free to travel any time rates will be lower in the fall months. Spring rates are high because of spring break at schools and the Easter break times.

Here is the Weather Channel link for average Orlando temps. Click on the month to see daily averages (high/low) but even the monthly data is a guide. You can also see on this link at the bottom how wet each month can be (if you click the "Graph Display" link).

PS - of course these are just averages. Your actual experience may vary by +/- 20 degrees ;)

April is nice; however you can get some warm days. The temp. is often nice at night for sleeping.

I am a deep south gal, and trust me, we've had to use the AC most of the month. It gets very hot most years in Oct. in the south. There are always exceptions for a few days here and there.

Also, April can be hot also. It all depends on the year - the weather is always unpredictable. We've had a week or more of 80's in Jan and Feb. also big freezes in early Dec. So, just be prepared no matter what month you come in spring or Fall.

The most predictable months, temp. wise are June-Sept (always hot and humid LOL).
