A good place for 5 people??

I was wondering if anyone could suggest any places for 5 people. There would be 2 adults, me 17, and my two sisters 14 and 11. We would need 2 beds at least and I *really* don't want to be stuck on a rollaway for our trip.

We are only planning on spending 4 days/5 nights in Orlando and doing only 3 parks (not AK) - then we are heading to Daytona for a few days.

We prefer rooms that are somewhat spacious, have a sink OUTSIDE of the bathroom as well as in (such a lifesaver!), and include a refrigerator (and possible microwave!).

I have looked at many places:
*HIFS
*Tropical Palms
*Liki Tiki Resort

I would also LOVE to stay on site, somewhere close to the parks, but I can't find any rooms that seem big enough. We would prefer not to have to get 2 rooms, and I haven't seen any rooms that have fridges or microwaves. Did look into the cabins, but that's not really what we want. Do any of the hotels offer ok-priced rooms that would fit five people??

If there isn't anything, staying off site is no problem, as we aren't picky.

What are the benefits of staying on site??

We really wouldn't want to spend more than about $130 a night.

Thanks so much, it's just so difficult trying to find somewhere to stay.

Offsite we have done the HIFS w/ 5 people. Small "kitchen" sink outside bathroom w/ fridge & small micro.

Onsite we've done CR which is very roomy & the cabins. The cabins are much more roomy & comfortable. It has a full kitchen.

I know you said you didn't want to stay in the cabins, however, look into them again. It isn't a run down "cabin" like you may be thinking. It's very clean & up to date. They are awesome. I think that's where you would be most comfortable.

Also has an outdoor deck. Very peaceful.

Matt....as for onsite try posting on the disney resorts board. I can only think of Old Key West and Boardwalk off the top of my head. Not sure about the Courtyard Marriott. The cost is going to depend on what time of year you are visiting....what kind of a deal you can get.

Look for suite hotels. We are staying at Marriott Cypress Harbor which is actually a timeshare property but you can do short term rentals too even if you are not an owner. We got an AAA rate of $134 a night (will be $150 after tax) for a 2 bedroom villa - loaded with everything you can think of - full kitchen, washer dryer, tvs, vcrs, 2 person whirlpool - and more square footage of living space than my house. There are also other Marriott Vacation rentals as well - Like Marriott Grande Vista has one bedroom villas that were going for under $110 AAA rate I believe at one point. Another property like this is Sheraton Vistana Villages. Again, don't assume its too expensive until you check it....they all have deals from time to time.

I also like the Marriott Residence Inns and I think there's one very close to wdw and I'm pretty sure their rates include a full breakfast (not continental breakfast). (have stayed at others but not in Orlando)

Try going to www.orlando.com and look through there for suite hotels to see what's out there for the time you're going. There has got to be about a hundred of them all very close to wdw. Enjoy your trip!

Vistana Resort has a large spacious two bedroom. We stayed there and you could easily spread out. It was very clean and well kept. I know some people on these boards have used Hotel Kingdom for Vistana and Vistana Villages and have received really good rates on them. The Residence Inns - either LBV, or Sea World are another option. The LBV one is closer to WDW. I know that they run specials on these. I have seen 2 bedrooms at both periodically for under $130.

If you are thinking about staying onsite, an option is to rent points from a DVC member (check the DVC board). That is an affordable way to rent the larger (i.e 2 bedroom) condos onsite.

Best of luck to you!
