A girl ought to Celebrate what passes by-New PTR link up 7/16/10

I'm going to Disney this month!!!:banana::banana:
however, this weekend I am off to Long Island to visit the family plot on my mother's side. I'm thinking of the great WDW memories I have of my trip in '02 with my grandmother.:love:

Helo all! Things are crazy in the land of Hedy. :dance3::dance3: And, my corset has a solution-I am bartering cat food and litter in exchange for Lexie fixing my corset. But, I have 12 more days of work until WDW. That's good, right?

My shirts arrived, the Breast Cancer one is from Vista Print (design via the DISigns board), and the Blue one is by Customized Girl (desgn by me).
Also, I got these nifty stickers at Christmas Tree Shop-no idea what I'm going to do with them

Also, Oscar tried on his Halloween costume tonight-he said he heard vampires were in. ;)

TWO WEEKS! TWO WEEKS! TWO WEEKS! TWO WEEKS! Yay!
So I figured out what to do with my stickers-Mousekeeping envelopes! :cool1: I need to make those soon, and get pennies (pro of new job-no cashing sucking cafeteria on site, con of new job-will need to buy pennies).
I also need to fill in my Passporter (ah, Disney relativeism. I despise pencils in real life, but must fill in my Passporter in pencil lest things change).

I love the shirts especially the pink ribbon one and your cat looks so cute :goodvibes

Well, I now have singles for Mousekeeping, tips etc. Confirmation numbers are in the Passporter. I still need to fix my corset-I may just do it, as Lexie starts a job on Tuesday. I need to order bottled water. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I just checked in online. I know many people grumble about it, but I like it because I didn't need to call Disney o let them know I'd be there later.

Really? People are complaining about online check in??? We loved it. Check in took half the time:thumbsup2

Great! (I'm going to try that, myself, this month!) :goodvibes

Oscar looks adorable!

Kathy
Thanks!

People this it's unnecessary.

Um, OMG 8 days! I think I will start packing this weekend.* Random pre-trip shopping has occurred-I have attacked the local travel size departments more than once. I have a light-up wans, fans, and flashing Mickey pumpkin necklaces, but am debating picking up a tube of glow-y things as well. Additionally, I'm going to order my water from Staples today. I'm also at the tail end of a cold, which shuld fortify my immune system against the Disneyflu, and I will be bringing bug spray sunscreen to avoid to foot explosion. Incedentally, swine flu has turned the Magellan catalog into a germaphobes thrill ride. I may or may not have ordered some items. It's really sad I'm excited that my pre-Disney hydration plan starts tomorrow, right?
*BTW, did I ever mention that Lexie from my Vegas trip is currently staying with us? Some pre-trip stuff has fallen by the wayside due to her job hunting, relocating her cats temporarily until she finds an apartment, etc. More seriously, my box of stuff for this trip is in the back of her room. Thus, I will be attacking the packing project in the living room. OTOH, she's fairy-godmothering my corset, so I guess I can't complain. I haven't been able to try on my whole costume yet-I keep on having visions of something going horribly wrong and me rushing to find a costume at iParty or one of the gazillion Haloween stores nearby. Man, I'm going to miss when they close and I no longer drive by the grim reapers on my way to work.

OMG this time next week I will be at MK, eating at Crystal palace. Holy cow! I ordered my stuff from Staples-I ordered water (they no longer deliver Poland Spring to Florida, but at least it isn't Dansani :sick:), a refrigerator sized thing of cans of coke, hand soap and lysol wipes* I am planning on starting packing this weekend, as well as testing out my new video camera. This is crazy amount of silly, but I get really excited every time my phone goes off lately, as my text alert is, as always, the monorail spiel (however, to non-WDW people, it sounds like my phone is speaking in tongues), and my ringtone s (how seasonal) grim grinning ghosts.
*For my fellow germaphobes, Staples currently has a coupon for $5 off of $25 of flu prevention items if you order online.

1. MNSSHP costume is done, with much thanks to Lexie.
2. You know you bought a lot of OTC stuff at CVS when the cashier comments that you are prepared for anything.
3. There is know on the ground here. Egads.

You are so close now...have the best trip!

Two more days! And two more work days! It's looking like it'll be warmer than earlier projected, so I'm packing my misting fan, although I peeled off the Universal sticker.

:cool1::cool1::cool1:I leave TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!! :cool1::cool1:
AS you may remember, I invited my godmother to come visit on Saturday for F&W. She's declined, owing to wanting to keep up with her daily visits to her 103 year old mother*. However, the junk in her life isn't slowing down, which led to the following dinner coversation last night:
Heather: You know what helps that? Drinking around the world in Epcot.
Lexie: Drinking around the world?
Heather: Yepp, start in Mexico and work your way around.
Lexie: You can drink in the park?
Heather: Yepp, most countries have their own booze.
Mom: Last time I was there, I was with my daughter. She said "Let's go into Italy, they have wine samples. The guy poured me a thimble sized thing of wine and charged me $4!"
Lexie: You can drink there?
Heather: Yeah, evrywhere but the Magic Kingdom.
Lexie: I don't think drunk people around the animals would be good.
Mom: At Pleasure Island there was alcohol.
Heather: Yepp, but it's closed.
Mom: I never went there.
Heather: We went in '02.
Mom: Oh yeah, it was weird. I didn't like it.
Lexie: Are you planning to drink aorund the world>
Heather: Possibly.
*The woman is sharper than I am. Mom sent her somthing last month, she called our house to thank her, and had a very cordial conversation with her.

Argh. My MNSSHP makeup has jumped ship. I guess another CVS run is in the cards tomorrow.

We cleared out Room 4135 for you yesterday. :)
Ask for Paul at the gift shop. He wanted to be on the trip report, so I took his picture. I told him not to be surprised if he had people coming to see him, and he said he would absolutely love it if someone recognized him. :)
