I just got this email asking me to call for information about the disney vacation club and they would then send me a $25 GC

Call today to schedule your interactive tour. It's quick, easy and informative. And as a "thank you" we'll send you a $25 Disney Gift Card you can use on your vacation.

has anyone done this and if so is it a pain where they call you all the time afterwards?

Thanks
:thumbsup2

I got that a few months ago. I thought there would be a lot of pressure but there really was none. I spoke to the rep she answered a few of my questions, then sent me an email that explained DVC a little more and I got my $25 in about 4 days.

I got one follow up call to make sure I received the packet they sent in the mail, and that was it.

Very painless. At least in my case.:)

I did this right before our August trip - I had my GC within a week, which I think came by FEDEX. It was an interview with a person (not automated) but painless. I received one followup phonecall afterwards, but I didn't answer because we have callerID. When I called I just said
I had an email to do a telephone tour for a $25 GC (and no I didn't actually have an email and they didn't ask any questions about it)

We did the tour, got the certificate, and, a year later took the plunge into DVC. I was a good investment, and we recouped the cost in five years; since then, we have been staying nearly "free."

Does anyone know how long the GC is good for. We don't have plans for a trip right now, but would love to have $25 if it didn't expire. :thumbsup2

I just got this email last week and called DVC when I got it. Talked to a couple of very women. When the rep asked how serious I was about buying into DVC, I was honest and told her it wasn't in my immediate future, but she was still very nice. Just got the packet of info by FedEx today and am hoping to get my gift card shortly. I'm guessing there's no expiration date as their gift cards do not usually have a date listed, that I can remember.

Does anyone have the number to call, this sounds like a good idea and another way to save $25 mroe $$ for Disney. I would LOVE to be a DVC member at some point, probably should have already done it if I add up what we've spent in the last 5 years there:lmao:
TIA for sharing

I did the phone tour tour on Tuesday and today I got the Fedex package with the dream book and a dvd but no gift card??? To the people who got it, was it in a different package???

I did something similar through a referral from a DVC member, and yes the Dream Book came first then the GC later in a different package. I actually had to call them back to follow up on my GC because the rep I spoke to said I'd receive it in 4-6 weeks and 6 weeks went by & no GC. She was very nice about it though (even though I hadn't returned her follow-up calls or e-mails), researched my information, and had the GC out to me within a few days.

Oh, for the PP who asked if it expires, I received a regular GC just like you'd purchase at a store - no expiration date.

Thanks for your quick reply!!!
I hope it doesn't take 6 weeks to get here, because i'm leaving in 5 weeks and I want it to use it

I did it last week and they said they would rush my gift card to me. They rushed the package where they want $12K+ to me for DVC purchase, but no gift card as of yet. We are leaving in 2 weeks...hopefully, it comes.

I wish we could afford the DVC, but it is not in our budget right now. I wish I would have done it years ago when I first started going to Disney, I'd be halfway paid off by now!
