Our trip was back in November, but I wanted to make sure I sent out a giant thank you to the wonderful DISigners for their great designs!
It took a bit of time to understand how to do everything and decide which designs to choose, but once I got started it was really easy and I ended up doing 19 t-shirts!
The DISigners were:
Dom aka Dom 13
Amy aka M I C KE Y
Natalie aka Donatalie
Veronica aka taekwondo mom
Lisa aka LisaBell
I used the cheap t-shirts from Michaels when they went on sale and they did great. I also ended up buying 2 from Sears because I needed 2 XLTs and ended up removing the pocket which after washing you couldnt even tell. I used the Avery transfer paper (from WalMart) in both dark and light. I would choose to do everything in dark if I could, it was so much easier!!
I did have some bleeding through the transfer on the red t-shirts, but not on any other color. Many have reported that, so I wasnt surprised but careful not to iron it too long. The only tshirt that cracked (I realized in the bus line on the way to MK
) was the one for my step-dad - A Grandpa mickey head with Mr. Smead on it. I was really disappointed about that, but I wonder if I over-ironed because that was my largest design on the XLT shirt. I did wash them all in a vinegar wash after they were done. I didnt seem to notice much of a difference but was glad that they wouldnt run if it rained (which it didnt.
)
Thanks again! Now on to the pictures which I've listed the DISgners themselves.
